Preferred EDC carry method

Clipped Inside front pocket. Right or left depending on what I’m doing at the time. Knife rides in the opposite pocket. Small wallet or money clip is always in the right front.

Clipped to the left front pocket. Right front pocket has keys and knife on a clip.

In the messenger bag is a astrolux FT02S. Yes I use it every day this time of year. It is dark when I go from my car to the building I work in and I am really tired of dodging cars. They can see me now. :stuck_out_tongue:

Clipped to my front pocket has been my primary EDC for almost 20 years. I started with a Streamlight TL-2, now carry a ZebraLight SC64C LE.

Front left pocket, either loose or clipped depending on the flashlight and my mood :)

Meh. Instead of doing one thing well, the ones I’ve seen do two things poorly.

I recognize that’s ironic coming from someone who put everything but the kitchen sink into a flashlight UI… but still.

I want captive deep-carry clips which facilitate button-up carry styles and don’t tear fabric or dig into skin.

Couldn’t agree more TK. I despise most pocket clips, and only more now this dumb trend has taken off.

The most hideous offenders are the afterthought clip-on ‘deep carry’ variety with too tight of a bend radius up top to allow any fabric passed… And just to make sure of that, they’ll add a lovely squared off ledge/riser that you have to get over… And all that only after you manually pry the bottom up to get it started because the super cool two-way design doesn’t have a stand off feature. :rage:

Coins pocket. I love coins, but they go in a small purse.

Surprising to see this poll without pocket option, btw.

Option 3 ?

I voted for pocket clip.

I have recently chosen left side carry of the SP31 V2, LH351D (not a perfect light, but it ticks quite a few boxes for me.

This leaves my dominant hand free for another edc tool.

I take the clip off to reduce the size and put it in the smaller pocket on the right side (lighter/pocket watch/etc pocket in jeans). Keys go in the big pocket under that and a knife is clipped inside that bigger pocket too.

Left front is for the phone, rear right is for the wallet. Back left can be used for the work phone when I need to keep it on me.

There is minor variation when in dress clothes (a smaller light like the IYP365 in the jacket). If I carry open, then I move the flashlight and knife to the back pockets to keep them out of the way.

I’ve lost a SAK using a suspension clip.

Deep pocket carry with smaller single cell lights.

XL100 ?

I like how your SC62w looks after all these years. It’s a great flashlight! I carried mine for about a year or so. My wife tried it out a couple years ago, loved it, and is now her flashlight. The only time I see it now is when the battery needs to be charged again.

It certainly has developed quite a bit of character over the years, and it continues to function perfectly for my needs.

My co-workers refer to it as “The Light of a Thousand Suns”, because they’re amazed by how much light it puts out for it’s size.

I regret not buying another one when they were available.

How did you manage that?

Best guesses. Seat belt. Caught on pull over, jacket or T shirt…while crouching. Leaning against stuff, or climbing through brush.

I did notice the clip would rise on occasion, after setting or crouching. And the length of the knife ended up right on top of my leg when
crouching. Thinking leg pushed up on the knife and the suspension clip help guild it to freedom.

A single-AAA twisty is in my right front pocket nearly all the time. I keep one in my dress pants, one on my work pants, and one in my pajama bottoms, and have several spares on top of the chest of drawers.

Since this poll is still open: I carry loose in pocket, but at home I use the clip with the light outside my pocked, facing down, so I can get quick, hands-free illumination. I like the d4v2 clip.
And yes I sometimes do just wear a headlamp, turned OFF, for hours (at home only haha  )

Joining the thread necromancy I carry a KR1 clipped to my left front pocket of my pants and if I’m at work I have my head torch in a cargo pocket.

I prefer the nylon type holster.
