But I find it a bit weird that on the other colors the side LEDs just shine through the colored body. And in the video it looks like it doesn’t work very well. If that wasn’t the case I would have taken a colored one, I think they look pretty cool.

That is correct. I have not seen the actual product yet, but I am quite sure that will be some color shift for colored models. For example, red LED output projected through starry blue shell will give slight purplish tint to it (to be confirmed).
Can you explain the operation UI . I don’t quite understand.

I long press to turn in on/off? Then let go and press again to adjust brightness? Or is it single click to turn on/off and it starts from last brightness level.

Long click from OFF to start ramping from the lowest setting.
Then, from ON (and even from OFF), there are other options to access Turbo, Strobe and the other Leds.
Oh if that’s the case then I don’t think I’m interested, for a keychain light that sounds like a lot of accidental on/offs when it’s in the pocket/purse with single click on/offs.
