"Petition" to persuade Emisar (Hank Wang) to make a larger version of D18

Email Hank, he will build you a 16 emitter beast like this (E21A): https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/i0u34v/custom_brass_d4v2_mule_with_2200k_emitters_and_a/

It really doesn’t have an efficiency or price advantage over many small LEDs.

I’ll take a d18, but filled with 18 SBT90.2 emitters. Make it as large as it needs to be,
to support as many 21700 batteries that is needed. Heck, I want it full copper too.

Hank, take my money.

Why only 18 SBT-90.2 emitters? At $35 each these emitters would cost $630, but they wouldn’t even be able to put out 100k lumens.

A flashlight this expensive is not worth it, if it is not brighter than Imalent MS18 (100k lumens).

But wouldn’t it throw almost twice as far? even though it may ONLY be 75,000 lumens, couldn’t it potentially throw 2200 meters? reflector dependent of course. I mean come one… you wouldn’t pay $2,000 for a 18 x sbt90.2 , 6 x 21700, full copper, 26lb thrower? I would, if Hank made it! And if my wife never found out though it’d be hard to hide.

ps- I got my ridiculous theoretical math from comparing the gt4 to the gt94, and the ms18 to this new Noctigon Coppertron (thats a trademark name i just made up).

You can have good flood and good throw by including 10 or 15 and 45 deg TIR, but the throw will never be super amazing. Likewise, you could have an aspheric lens option, granted the lens would extrude.

I would be interested in a crazy light if it uses SUNLIKE-tier emitters and buck/boost, or at worst, E21A emitters. I don’t like the green halo from E21A and a TIR won’t correct that, so 219b would technically be a step up

I miss the lights with handles lol, I used to use one in the offhand while shooting coons with my rifle, despite the weight the handle actually easier to hold than a light

in the 600+ price range you just as well ask Silent Thunder to custom for you, probably won’t have a metal body though

Jeeze how did I not see this thread before… I have three 9.3’s, two K1’s, a D18, KR4, some D4SV2’s

I love the idea of a massively powerful Hank light. I blew $600 on my Imalent MS18 so I’d happily spend that much for something like this

How does that beam look?? I messaged Hank for the price of doing the D18 with all XPL-hi’s, now I’m just trying to decide… 1.) Do I need a $160-ish popcan light (when i can get a New MF01s for $80…) and, 2.) Should i just go with 18 x W2’s?

That sounds amazing. I have a D18 with an even mix of 2700 and 4000K’s and the beam is absolutely beautiful. Reminds me of an old incandescent flashlight except massively powerful of course.

Not the same thing but because of you and your d18 I had Hank do the even 2700/4000 in my last d4 titanium. It is a sweet combo!

I just got my D18s:

1) 219b sw35 - such a beautiful can
2) SST20 Deep Red and SST20 Far Red (Swirl pattern) - Seeing Red by Chevelle

I would definitely get a bigger and more powerful Hank light. I love my GT94vn and X80GTvn but want a comparable Hank.

He has told me he has, “ 21700 light project in the future.” I’m just not sure if it will be monster.

Let’s hope and keep asking him. =]

You have the exact d18 I keep putting off from buying.. that is my ideal setup (of course given Hank has a NICE bin of 5D at the time I buy it, like he does RIGHT NOW lol).. I would be interested in the output using molicel p26a..

I would just like a D18 with better sustained brightness and a tripod thread.

I am interested and I could buy at least 3 pieces if the price stays within reasonable limits so I sign your petition and hope someone else agrees.

Sono interessato e potrei acquistare almeno 3 pezzi se il prezzo rimane entro limiti ragionevoli quindi firmo la tua petizione e spero che qualcun altro sia d'accordo.

In the D18 I would replace all the LEDs with OSRAM CULPM1.TG W2.

I’d love to see a D24 with 3 (or even 4…) high current 21700s

I’d like to see a reflector version of the DT8. Kind of like a killer bike light, or very wide field illumination.

A Hank headlamp would be awesome too. Still rocking my old 18650 Nitecore with a 6500K primary and red/green/blue auxiliaries

I bought the Acebeam X50 to check all these boxes. But before I did I asked Hank if he had any plans to make something like this. I also have the X80GT which is perfect as a very even flood - perfect for working on things. I have 3 Hank lights and so many others. By far the one I grab the most for around the property now is this X50, it really surprised me how good it is at throwing and flooding. USBC charging is so convenient. If Hank produces a new light like this I will definitely buy it!
