Emisar D4SV2 4xW2

Nearly identical to my order :+1:

Spill the beans, how does it differ? Cyan?

Hey man

I’ve just ordered a d4sv2 w2

Is that the same as the one in this post?

Its not secret menu as its listed there on the emmiter option

I already have a d4sv2 xpl hi 6500k so this is really helpful!

No SS bezel

I was deadset on a copper one until I saw the video comparison above. While I’m sure it would be real nice it just wouldn’t be different enough to warrant a spot in my modest collection…

If you decide you want a S/S bezel I’ve ordered one spare.

Thanks for the offer, I’ll keep it in mind

I guess I could see that, since you’re being all reasonable and stuff lol. But truly, if you do keep your collection modest there probably isn’t enough of a difference. Then again, going by that model I should only have 3-4 lights.

The copper would be really heavy in the x9l, I got the KR1 copper abd that is a tank, the x9l would weigh more , but handle the heat really well. The copper KR1 handles heat Significantly better then my aluminum, with the same emitters (W2.1, W2.2, xhp50.2, sst40).

I have a MK37 SBT90.2 coming to scratch my itch. KR1 copper sounds appealing too! Love my KR1/W2 cyan. I think I would do KR1 copper in something 5000k or warmer.

Defintely, I did mine in the sst40 5000k, but I have a xhp50 in it now, they are both really good in it. The copper deflects the heat so well. I’m jealous, I really want that manker! That’ll fill the need for sure

A little bit of Necro-threading but, the OP’s original post has been super helpful to me! Thank you!

Anyone get a tailcap current measurement of the 4xW2 Emisars? 16A? 20A?

I know this is an older thread, but can anyone tell me what the maximum sustainable output of this configuration is? Separately, how long can it maintain turbo?

Thanks!

Couldn’t resist . Ordered it in copper from Neil 2 days ago . $142 compare to $132 from Ali . I’m not confident with unknown ali vendors . Looking forward to compare it with my kr1vn in copper too .

oh man I would love the x9l in copper. Honestly the only reason I haven't invested in making the sbt90 KR1 yet is because it's the same price as the x9l, but doesn't throw as far (it can't, IMO, because the head is smaller). I love my kr1's, and will probably do the sbt90 mod someday, but the x9l is a great place Keeper for it.

In a sense i envy you . I have no tools and no ability to modify mines . I’m forced to only buy keepers since i would loose to much with shipping and discount .

well, thank you. But honestly the only reason I am confident I can do that specific mod is because Hank said he can do a fet KR1 for me, otherwise I wouldn't be able to because I wouldn't be able to do the driver mod, and the stock KR1 driver (5amp-9amp) wouldn't be "strong" enough.

anyway, it's been progressing slowly. You'll love that x9l!

This is one good light.

But that’s Emisar.

  1. Not me. I don't know.
  2. Short burst, if you don't want it to get too hot.

I got my Emisar D4V2 vn, Feb. 2020, quad W2, 4,020 lumens, 429 meters with throw optics. Midway size between S2 Baton and E4K. After four years, this was the replacement for my super trusty S2 Baton. I am a fan of max mode short burst. Even with short burst only for higher modes to keep heat and runtime in normal range, the Emisar D4V2 quad W2 is a lot of light for its size. I rotate my edc lights, but D4V2 is my first choice.

Anybody know of a way to cut/paste stills of Andreas’ four way comparison under the roadway? Does anybody know of any practical disadvantages of the X9L vs the D4Sv2 with the W-2 emitters?
Having an extremely difficult time deciding between the two.
