Flashlight Host and Uncommon Budget Flashlights

Nice find!

Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder on that one. /shrug

Thesen TwoSun lights are also in AliExpress!

To bad the UIs are normally H-L-Strobe. And to bad that this AAA light is probably similar to the one reviewed here where the driver and the led are in the same platform :weary: It would be a nice host otherwise…

Too expensive.

Not very budget LEP from Maxtoch . Powered by 2x 20350 :disappointed:

When it comes to hunting LEP has so many sensitive parts that I don’t even doubt it would fail under heavy recoil plus non adjustable beam would cover only 200+ hunting situations and most hunting situations are up to 100 meter.

But you noticed right Maxtoch LEP is the cheapest of them all… Not expensive at all IMHO if someone want to play with it.

The short or ‘slim’ L2K is the most attractive of the larger LEPs IMO. Its on my ‘if I win a scratch off ticket’ list. Just wish it worked on 1S liion.

For almost the same price you can have this LEP powered by more common batteries - 2x 21700

March K8S

This one is basically in the style of those 18650 tactical ring tube lights we have seen so many of but upsized to 21700.

  • It’s a tank
  • It’s very nicely machined (very smooth, chamfer in right spots) and anodized (smooth ano)
  • SS bezel
  • Tons of spare parts (extra switch, extra glass, extra o rings, extra switch boot) & accessories (18650 adapter “bands”, wrist strap not pictured)
  • Retaining rings everywhere
  • Tail stands
  • Reverse switch
  • Can be locked out via tail
  • LMH modes w/ memory (dbl click strobe)

I got the SST-40 in Sand color. It’s about ~115/770/1600 lumens on each mode. Bezel inside diameter is about 26.5mm

Ordered 4/26, delivered 5/17 to US.

One of my favorite budget friendly brand.

Not from 2021, but…Supfire G20: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002587188375.html

Ordered one yesterday!
Front led + Laser + Side Led

Ramping on front and side led, High CRI on the side led, red laser to be used with my aunt’s cats! Magnetic tailcap, USB-C, Powerbank, only 2000mAh, back clip, and hook to hang! :sunglasses:

Supfire M20.

FIRE-FOXES-FF5. Best looking XEON to date.

Supfire GT60

that FF5 is a $1300 USD light which is hardly a “budget” light. Looks very impressive, but spec is only 10k lumen, looks very throwy?

Anyone try the Alonefire SV370(or SV310 as engraved on the body?) yet? Seems like a good multi-emitter light to mess around with I assume it lights up one LED at a time since it’s has a white/yellow/UV LED.

Would like to see more OLED screen integrated into more advanced light models.

So I ended up buying this to play around with. Build is what you would expect from a cheap light. Driver is seated on a cheap spring wire to make negative(?) contact with the body. Not too well versed with the technical stuff. I did slightly disassemble it to get photos for BLF. 1 click for on/off. half press to switch between LEDs. Might need to make better contact with the battery since switching LEDs is finicky and flickers when on.

Man, these pun names get old after a while. Seeknite, Alonefire, Supfire, FireFoxes, etc… :person_facepalming: Lol
