Walker’s Nonesuch Licorice Toffees. They’re very close to the Callard & Bowser toffees (no longer produced) that I had when I was a kid. I could eat a whole box of those in a day, but now I limit myself to one or two toffees after a meal.
I’m alternating between those and some dark chocolate. Specifically, Tony’s Chocolonely bar and Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Mint squares.
When I stopped eating mid-evening snacks like ice cream or potato chips, I discovered that I gradually lost weight.
Liverwurst, tomato, and “red” onion on white bread. Sounds weird, but is quite good.
I remember the first time I had one. Round Arnold’s dinner-roll, big slab of joisey tomato, bigger slab of vidalia onion, and liverwurst. Good God, you could actually taste the symmetry…
Normally I’d extol the virtues of biltong and droewors, but it’s not been so readily available during lockdown and getting quality meat for home DIY has been purely down to whatever is in stock.
