Curious minds want to know the price.

Yes price and availability please?!

It is indeed unibody!
It's plausible that the driver is double sided, with its rear side also housing the brass tab (positive terminal), which goes through the drilled base.
Here's a few close-up pictures of the driver and its back side.

I know I promised that I would be publishing some beamshots this weekend, but unfortunately the area I live in went into lock-down due to Corona, so we're only allowed to stay outside of our homes up until 6.00pm
I think the lock-down restrictions will be raised to 9.00pm from tomorrow onwards, so if that's the case, then I'll definitely be grabbing some outdoor beamshots pretty soon!

A tail magnet would be Practical maybe.

Here's some outdoor beamshots.

Nice beamshots, any idea of the distances?

Thanks

This is not simple…the brass tab and its electrical path must pass be insulated from the shelf…and it would be interesting to know how.

Since this thread hasn’t seen much activity in the past month figured I would check in. Has anybody heard any release info yet?

I’ve just sent an email to my contact at Wuben.
As soon as I hear anything back, I will let you know

Yeah, the UI definitely needs work. 2click for strobe is pretty hideous.

Moonlight would be nice, if not a must (at least for EDC).

Even if not an “EDC” light, I mostly use my GTmicro in basically only 2 modes, moonlight (reset down to 1 from the default 3/5/whatever) and wide-open. Even low is “too high” when I just want to see the clock across the room, etc.

Backlit switch only if constant, not “breathing”. That’s one dealbreaker for me. F’n creepy…

How long can it maintain high mode?
Will it step down by timer or by temperature?
How many lumens will it step down to?

Ok, just got a response from Wuben.
The E6 should become available at late April :exclamation:

Isn’t this a sale? E6 Small Steel Cannon Strong Flashlight

Same name but different spec. 350 / 100 / 10 lumen.

Did they settle for lower output than the pre-production reviewed here?

Does not look like. However, I am not trying to buy. The flashlight is interesting, but to be honest, I am not satisfied with the modes and most importantly: the price. Not willing to pay for it like D4V2
Confusion is obvious with modes. The title indicates 900lumens …

It says below that the test is with NiMh. I assume 900 lumens is with 14500.

Will this run a 10A cell without frying the LED?

It’s the PM version so 14500s should be fine unless there’s a heatpath issue (see one of the smaller GTs with aluminum MCPCB - mini or micro, I can’t recall).

Parasitic drain?
