Which movie did you watch lastֻ

The Spanish Earth.

it was notable in 1937 since
Ernest Hemingway narrated
this ‘documentary’ about the
Spanish Civil War.

1. it is all propaganda for the losing side.
2. the antique militaria was most interesting.
3. it never rained in Spain during this campaign.

A Good Marriage (2014)

Not bad once it gets going but I almost didn’t make it past the first 15 minutes - be ready for a very slow start. This is a Stephen King story with no supernatural stuff. There’s also no gore it’s just a fairly brutal situation. What do you do if you accidentally find out someone is a serial killer?f

FYI - I saw it on Amazon

I saw Coherence (2013).

It's okay, but also quite confusing.

The acting is good, and the music is fine.

Parts of the movie are quite entertaining, but there are boring parts as well.

The movie is like The Twilight Zone, but with cursing.

The film also seems kinda pointless.

I prefer movies that actually make sense, though this movie is pretty decent.

watched Greenland yesterday

The Hateful Eight

Pretty cool movie in a cold climate. I kind of neglected this title for a while, but finally had some time.

A Boy and His Dog.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Boy_and_His_Dog\_(1975_film)

read the story and wanted to watch the movie.
while the book is serious, the movie is funny.
this is one case of the movie being better.

1. it set three years from now.
2. maybe Mad Max got some ideas from this.
3. “i want to get back in the dirt so i can feel clean.”

Extreme Job 2019. Not bad, decently funny.

I saw the Director's Cut of Nightbreed (1990).

[One of my favorite movies of all time.]

It's a Clive Barker film, and it's pretty good.

I think it's probably one of his better movies that he has directed or written.

The acting is okay, and the music is exceptional.

The first half is a little slow, but there's plenty of action later in the movie.

There are tons of interesting monsters in this movie.

Whoever was in charge of the makeup for the monsters did an excellent job.

Overall, I recommend this movie for those that are Clive Barker fans.

The Kid Detective (2020)

A once-celebrated kid detective, now 32, continues to solve the same trivial mysteries between hangovers and bouts of self-pity. Until a naive client brings him his first ‘adult’ case, to find out who brutally murdered her boyfriend.

I thought this was a decent movie which shows Adam Brody in a different light. Watchable.

watched the Last of the MGM Movie Lion.
quote:
“MGM is replacing its iconic mascot for a near-identical computer-generated duplicate. Leo the lion is dead, long live Leo the CG lion.”

Rudderless

Started in the background while I was wasting my time on web on PC, drawn me in and all I could think of is how the hell did I miss out on it until now.

Excellent acting from the whole crew (RIP Anton Yelchin), good story with a huge twist and a good music.

Rudderless is a really good one, also missed it for a few years.

today, I saw “Cold Pursuit”, with Liam Neeson

Demolition Man

I’ve seen like at least a dozen times, at least, and love it still.

Before that was Coming 2 America.

Had a lot of throwbacks to the original, was fun to watch, they didn’t butcher it as bad as I thought they would.

Coming2America Saturday night. I thought it was decent enough and it was free.

Chris

Replicas (2018)
Keanu Reeves + Frankenstein ??? well that’s why I skipped it initially but I was a little wrong.

This isn’t the best Frankenstein (ish) movie ever but it’s in my top 3 or 4 now.

Basic plot a scientist working on transferring memories from the recently deceased into a new “body” loses his family. Chaos ensues but not the way I expected.

Worth a watch instead of something you’ve seen - absolutely!

FYI - caught this in HBO.

Trust (2021)
In this sexy and twisty ride, New York gallery owner Brooke and her husband Owen each face exceptional temptations, with most unexpected results.

Interesting movie about young marriage in a big city - and all temptations that come with it. it is about a honey trap set by the wife.

COLUMBUS 2017

I really liked this movie. Interesting plot, excellent execution, and a really good combination of the story line within the movie. Architecture is the word.

A good movie for design, architecture and drama enthusiasts.
