Latest release Vapcell 21700 5600mah 12.5A battery

I have some of the 1100mAh batch, which seem to be better than the 1300mAh teste by HKJ.
I guess I will place the question directly to HKJ, eventually.
Thanks Agro. :+1:

I think the bigger difference would be in the long run assuming the composition is different. Maybe one maintains higher voltage in storage and/or has more charging lifecycles.

Believe it or not, my T50 (Samsung 50S) order has arrived after 66 days (about 40 days "vanished" between NL and DE). It almost felt like Christmas opening the cardboard box. :-D

I did some measurements right away:

Resting voltage: 3.45V

Impedance: 9.5mOhm @ 1kHz AC via SM8124A

I noticed this battery - probably like all Samsung cells - has a slightly recessed positive flat top terminal.

66 days, that’s nothing compared to my S4+ charger that i ordered Dec 8-2020 and received 24-Feb 2021

Hi, I made some research but couldn’t figure out everything so if its possible I need some help,

I’m looking for a few batteries and I will use them with;

Mateminco MT01 XHP50.2
Mateminco TK04 XHP50.2

Many 21700 batteries in my mind now such as,

Vapcell T50 5000mah 20A/35A (samsung 50S) (seems like everyone loved that battery)
Samsung 40T (solid legendary)
Vapcell G40 4000mah (30A/45A) (no body talks about it, I couldn’t find information but sounds like very promising)
Vapcell F40 4000mah (25A/40A) (no body talks about it, I couldn’t find information)

These 2 seems perfect for lantern usage?

Samsung 50G (green,version 2)
Samsung 48X (green, version 2) (similar like 50G but 48X perfect for a long run. Good life time better for environment)

Also what I couldn’t understand is samsung 40T has 30A max continuous discharge but Vapcell T50 with 20A has almost same continuous power like 40T how is that possible?
Is T50 unrated or wrong rated?

(And also any thoughts for Vapcell G40 30A continuous will it be even better than samsung 40T and vapcell T50 ?)

Thank you so much for your time!

i know its probably not - but is there anywhere we can order these right now? even if only to get back order notifications?

Just giving my thoughts, but I’m no expert so just consider as reference…

I’ve gotten a pair of Vapcell G40 4000mAh 21700 (white wrapper) — this does not appear to be the same battery as the Samsung 40T, it’s heavier (~74 grams vs ~68 grams for Samsung 40T), and G40 has a slightly wider diameter (I measure 21.3-21.4mm for G40 vs the 21.0-21.1mm for 40T). Also, the top design is different (both are “3-lobes” but the lobe design is different enough).

With that said, I can’t reliably test if G40 performs similar or better/worse than 40T. Using YR1030 AC IR meter, I noted that the G40 has AC IR ~8.2mOhms while a 40T has ~8.8mOhms, so the G40 has a wee bit lower AC IR… this isn’t enough to prove anything though. Both are quite low IR though.

With regards to the discharge rating, I wouldn’t exactly trust the rating of the rewrapper, but instead check for 3rd-party technical reviews (eg. from HKJ or Mooch); unfortunately I also haven’t found info about the G40 (or F40) from either HKJ/Mooch…

now regarding the battery to use on the FT02S and EA01 — these are what I think based on my experience with these 2 flashlights:

  • FT02S (quad XHP50.2 LEDs) can use a LOT of power (more than 20 Amps), so a (fully-charged) more “high-drain” or higher-discharge rating (real rating by discharge graph by 3rd-party reviewers like HKJ) battery could give it the most brightness (in this case, a 30T theoretically could give a bit more power than 40T, which gives a bit more power than the T50). Although in real life, temperature control and other factors may make the difference small, but the capacity (runtime) should be there… (higher capacity should have a bit longer runtime).

- EA01 (single XHP50.2) can also use a lot of power (a bit less than 20Amps), but most of the good 21700 batteries will probably just have a nearly similar effect. I would suggest a T50, but maybe another good 21700 battery like the G50 likely won’t be too different in performance compared to the T50.

Thank you very much for your support to vapcell

The power performance of G40 is similar to that of Samsung 40t, but the capacity of G40 is higher, about 4100mah

My MF01 mini could do with a K64. Wonder if the high capacity affects the lifespan of the cell.

VapCell 26650 6400mah 15A Battery. This is a step up in 26650 capacity. I see myself buying more than a few.

+1

If that cell underneath the wrap offers the same current specs like PowerLongBattery's PLB-55A cell (see Shockli 5500mAh or Keeppower 6000mAh), it would be really awesome.

At least I am most pleased to hear that 26650 battery development has not ended yet. PLB has given up producing the PLB-55A battery last year, so the only powerful 26650 battery left is Golisi S43 with only 4300mAh.

VapCell 26650 K64 6400mah

Is this available from US dealers? My last 26650 search didn’t see it.

is this really legit the capacity, i thought 6000mah was the max this type of size could hold ?

Theoretically it’s about 7100 mAh if using the same guts as a 3400mAh 18650.

Is this the highest capacity constant discharge on the market for 26650?
VapCell 26650 K64 6400mah 15A/25A

Is this the highest capacity 18350 on the market?
Vapcell INR 18350 F14 1400mah 3A

I wonder when US vendors will be getting both in stock

Me too, hope it comes to US. 26650 walking lights are my go to. I live in the boonies and like high lumens for my aging eyes. Long run times with this cell would be great.

And I see a new high capacity 18350. I prefer higher discharge current at this size so I’m not in but still I am happy to see an improvement in this format.

Ordered a pair of the K64's from your Ali store - Thanks Dennis!

Can they ship batteries without a flashlight?
