You got a good one. Today I cleaned the side of the driver that faces the battery with alcohol and compressed air and the drain dropped from 1.2 mA to .8 mA . Still not good. Maybe cleaning the other side will reduce it more?

I was going to get samsung 40T but in these days I was checking some batteries and found out new Vapcell rewrap 21700 T50 (samsung 50S)
Seems like T50 has a very similar performance like 40T but in a long run it is actually even better. And for the begging of usage the battery, start volt is little lower than 40T so it might help not to burn out the led maybe…
Mine is EA01 XHP50.2 version and got 0.27mA/0.30mA on low and high led switch on during standby.
I would suggest to capture your readings in video for claim later.
Dismantling of EA01 head will void warranty.
Ok, Just update us. I hope the next batch of EA01 will fix the issue. I’m just wondering why EA01 didn’t have anduril 2 pre installed.
From what I understand, there may be a more serious issue — Mateminco (the manufacturer for Astrolux EA01) doesn’t seem to have enlisted ToyKeeper’s assistance for use with the EA01, so it’s unclear which device target of Anduril is used on the EA01 light. (supposedly, although Anduril works similarly, the brightness ramping and some other more special functions may need to be optimized for a certain flashlight build/model; it will likely work if using a different device target build of Anduril, but brightness ramping and other heat dissipation/thermal control may be less than optimal).
Now Anduril 2 is still fairly new, even though it’s out for some time now, I think it’s not widespread enough (even Anduril 1 can be challenging to use for people not familiar with advanced UI), which will complicate usage operation issues. There are some youtube videos on how to use Anduril 1, but much less for Anduril 2)…
