Ff light

Thanks! That’s a premium cost for short tube and battery btw… i saw that price somewhere else too…

Jacky told me $25 because he wants to sell it as a set with the unique battery. $25 shipped to Canada because apparently shipping to Canada has gotten expensive. You might be able to get a cheaper price shipped to the states but idk

My decision to purchase one will depend ,in part, on whether or not I get a response from them. I WILL NOT purchase any product from a manufacturer that doesn’t deem it important to respond to a customer’s emails. If you can’t get a response from the company before you purchase what do you think will happen after a purchase, when you have a issue. I have tried contacting company for 2 months now.I have received 1 response i think on the 12th. I posted a follow-up email that same day and still ,no response. If you go to website and go through the “Contact us”,the email doesn’t even go through. I am very interested in the E07x pro,but will go with another brand if I don’t receive a reply soon. Jim

Wait. While a agree that customer service should be important. Do you really contact all manufacturers before purchasing a product? I bet you scare the bejesus out of Charmin.

Don’t know how use you are to contacting support folks whos native language is Chinese. I always give and take this same advice. Always keep your correspondents with them dead simple. No long drawn out explanations or needlessly complex questions. Just short and too the point. No American slang or shorthand either. I have always gotten positive responses when I follow my own advice.

I can’t fix how long it takes for them to get back to you. That just seems to be a issue with one man shops trying to make it in China. Most of these guys don’t make their living on flashlights alone. But, if you make it easier for them, they may make it easier on you.

Besides astrolux and ff. I have know problems communicating with any manufacturers. It isn’t about the messages, Its about the respect the manufacturers have for their customers. Also the U.S supplier of FF I have found to be dishonest. But I don’t believe at this time that to be a accurate portrayal of the FF brand.I have sent a inquiry through the new website, so.I will see what happens.

Oh and Nealsgadgets. Dosent responded regularly as well.

So i just ordered yesterday, from FF-light.com. Now of course i see this thread hours after placing my first order with them, and the link for firefly-outdoor.com was shared for the e07x pro. I ordered from a different website - ff-light.com. Can anyone confirm FF-light.com is also a legitimate sight to order from? I apologize if this is a dumb question, i just got a little nervous when i saw there was a second website posted in this thread. also, no confirmation email yet… thanks

Ff-light is legit, ordered from them several times. Never heard of the other site until today.

Thank you, Pip! Gives me peace of mind. I also remember reading on blf somewhere that you don’t always necessarily get a order confirmation from FireFlies . So I’m not as worried now that I know the website I used was legit. Thanks again!

I’m thinking that website has just been updated and looks different. Didn’t mean to imply that it isn’t ff legit sight sorry for that.

No problem at all jimo. I just wanted to confirm I didn’t make a mistake

680m with XPL HI…Must be a typo.

Eo7x pro?

Why so much post deletion?

Edit: oops I was looking at the wrong thread :person_facepalming:

I noticed that too… was hoping they sourced a really narrow & efficient optic? Does seem pretty “ambitious ” though. Probably more like 480m?

The throw won’t be much more than a ROT66 (15 deg tir), while technically those numbers aren’t entirely wrong, I’d say max usable is around 60 yards… maybe up to 100 on turbo with a scope. Double that for for the low cri garbage like xpl

Candela is the only meaningful metric, and this won’t have much.

Same here. People are just finding the dumbest shit to knock Fireflies. My E12R is THEE literal shit.

Many other lights have super minor and trivial issues yet nobody brings them up like people like to do with Fireflies.

Fireflies hit nothing but home runs in their newest line-ups. And I don’t see that changing anytime soon with the even better direction they are going in. The driver alone is a panty-dropper, but the emitter options are killer too.

Don’t worry about Fireflies, so many top companies put out faulty lights here and there. The on only real issue I’ve seen in any new FF is someone’s LED’s weren’t turning on. That is a real and legitimate issue unlike the many people whining about nothing. But either way that’s just one of hundreds if not thousands already sold that has had that single issue. Anyway, if you do end up getting the rare bad light, FF will take care of it. And if they don’t, make sure you pay with PayPal and they got you protected.

Fireflies is a top company. If you look around you’ll find plenty of Hank lights or Sofirn’s or Convoy’s that have had random issues too. It is what it is with lights from China. But none of them have the swag of Fireflies, they just keep pushing the envelope and I love em for it. Fear not, chances are you’ll get an amazing light instead of a dud.

Fireflies poor communication and refusal to sell parts separately is never acceptable anywhere. Right to repair should be mandatory and universal. I also think I shouldn’t have to file or sand anything - certainly don’t need to with Hank lights, or even Convoy.
If their new USA dealer is going to cover for them repairs wise, then it’s a lot less bad. But I suspect they won’t.

The host thread issue is potentially massive. The threads on these new lights seem kinda poor. Once you wear them out the host is useless, and the host is the most expensive part of the light generally. Additionally - try replacing the oring on the nov-mu after taking the glass off. You’ll spend HOURS trying to get the end screwed back on with the oring staying put…It feels like they don’t want people to repair…

The only thing I’ll agree with you on is that MOST of their problems are just a minor annoyance. The ones above are NOT, and is literally what keeps them from getting the Hank Hype. I usually end up swapping batts in a few lights every camping trip, the one I use on coons only gets ~40 min runtime. I think it’s perfectly reasonable expectation for an aluminum host to last practically a lifetime. But with the new round of hosts, I have doubts.

EDIT: and don’t take it as knocking FF. I think Lumintop is even worse. I couldn’t attempt to contact them at all - fake email that bounces back at you. They won’t get a dime from me. FF’s contact problem is rubbing me in a very wrong way, but they’re also selling something a little more unique than Lumintop or other companies only catering to the low cri stupidity

Companies should strive to at least sell you the parts for repair, and tell you how not to kill USBC charging ports (because there is no standard in chargers etc). And states should all mandate the right to repair, not this corporatist “just throw it out and buy new one” nonsense

Haha

And, as much as I love Hanks lights, you are right about that swagger, it finally pulled me in. Aesthetic beauty and performance, I’m not too worried about the complaints I hear. We will see.

I 100% agree. Another reason I praise Hank so much. And Simon. You can literally order any single part that they have from them. I am ordering copper tail caps and titanium 18650 tubes from Hank to customize my existing and new lights. Everything and anything you want. In THIS hobby, that is the way it should be. Period. Or those are the businesses I support at least, no one has to do anything.
