I’m in the same boat; I am also looking for a 26650, and noticed the K5S and the C8.2. I wish the K5S had a host version available. I just impulse clicked the Acebeam EC50 gen III on Amazon as I wanted to try a XHP70.2 light. Thanks to this forum, I have purchased my first 4 LED lights in the last month!

If it is the XHP35HI/XHP50.2 version, it should be 20-21mm.

I've been playing with the C8.2 host recently. Very nice host, capable of taking a lot of heat. First I used it with XHP50.2 - nice, but I didn't like the tint shift at corona edges. Then I swapped the emiter to XHP35. O yeah - this is it. Very nice throw with on OP ref, led driven at 1,5A/12V makes the host barely warm after 10 minutes.

Nice! I’m interested in this host. Can you confirm what the driver bay size is? 20mm or 22mm??
The driver bay is 22mm. I put there 2 various 22mm drivers and none required filing or using sandpaper.
My only concern is the front glass. To me it looks like without AR layers.
Thanks for the feedback. I will just order a proper AR coated lens elsewhere. Otherwise, I’m definitely getting this host.
Manta Ray store on aliexpress has a 1 cell 22mm 4.8 amp xhp70 driver. It does come with spring installed. 
This light looks very much like the 26650 version that Justin (Old Lumens) was working on with Thorfire a number of years back. I was lucky enough to end up with one of the very few prototypes that was made and the light never went into production because Justin was not satisfied with a couple of things that Thorfire did not get the way he wanted them.
This is one light I will never get rid of though simply because it came from one of the greats that we had on this forum and I will always cherish the light.
Cheaper alternative?. If this is the same as the UltraFire F13 I already have, the reflector is smaller than a C8 at 36.5mm, but still a nice size.
The UltraFire works well with a XHP50 and OP reflector from KD (its a little short though). I’ve one of these on order with a XHP35 HI waiting for it.
I have this one on order, but it’s over 2 months since ordering and still not arrived. It took over 2 weeks to send it and I had to extend the period for seller.
But when it arrives I can let u know the impressions.
Which reflector for UltraFire F13? I looking for it would you give me a link please.
The one I used was from KD 36.5mm(D) x 25mm(H) OP ,unfortunately it is shorter than the original. I used a 1mm copper shim under the MPCB and two O-rings to keep it and the lens in place.
Is the long version 1 piece (2x26650) or is it 2 pieces ( regular 1 x 26650 tube + extension tube) ? I have doubts.
Can somebody who has C8.2 and Convoy L2 check if the L2 body extension tube will fit on C8.2
The long version has tube in two pieces. Second question i can’t answer.
