So, it looks like some people sadly never got/accepted some of their packages after so long, so I’ve received earlier today some packages containing SST-20s.
Since I know have more free time and I’ve started to get a hold on my slight mental problems, I’ve decided to do what is right: the BLF EX2/EX3 groupbuy has been reactivated. To be honest though, I still have a lot of Gen 2 springs, let alone a lot of Gen 3 springs.
If anyone wants to cut me a large deal for the Gen 2 springs in particular, I’ll be flexible since I don’t care too much about them anymore.
That also means I’ve restarted the BLF Charger project, as I’ve gotten more hardware experience, and considerably more programming experience.
Let’s hope this is the start of a new era on my side, because I unknowingly burned a bridge or two by not being active here, which I am deeply saddened about.
So, who wants some 95CRI SST-20s 4000k and some lovely big and small high current EX3 springs?
No sadly. Nothing on that horizon.
It looks like the company went dark in that regard.
There are rumors that the company itself fudged testing numbers to make the new alloy much better than it seemed to be, while it may just be a tiny bit above BeCu 17500 while being quite a bit more expensive.
So yeah, that’s the last of what I’ve heard from it.
To be more precise, shouldn't it be said “there are rumors that the company itself fudged testing numbers to make the new alloy look much better than it actually was”?
Well, in any case I have to agree. Aided with my CC power supply long ago I made some quick voltage drop testing in a couple springs, and compared it versus the voltage drop in the newer Convoy linear drivers' springs: there was barely any difference.
This is no surprise to me. I do not meant to say that it is impossible to trust Chinese people, I know it is possible to find trustworthy people/manufacturers; but it has to be believed.
I could help in this regard if there's a need to sometime. O:)
@Tom E, no problem. I still have 5x 3500K SST-20s if you want. As for the 4000k ones, I only have 20 left, so 12 is good.
As for the springs, that’s not an issue at all.
