Mateminco MT01 (EA01) tear down, SST-40 5000K option

Impressive photo. Glad for you … Especially in the topic “Disassembly Mateminco MT01 …”

It's all good. I can't do much of anything else anyway

I wish you health

Thanks. I thought I'd be ready for work tomorrow, but head in a fog, nausea still goes on. Guess it will take time

Hope you feel better soon Tom E.

Can an owner of these lights take a caliper measurement of the body tube diameter? Specifically the texture grip area across the mid section.

I am leaning towards the XHP50.2, 6500K. How is the color tint of the XHP50.2 when driven around ~1000 OTF lumens in a constant-ON scenario? How green/yellow does it get?

30mm on the Astrolux.

I received my gray SST 5000K today. There are no questions about the quality of the case and assembly. Slightly disappointed with the quality of the light. Maybe I’m just spoiled with similar optics on the Manker MC-13 with osram. I’m not used to seeing artifacts in orbit around the sunspot. I thought illumination will be smoother … SST-40 is seriously green at low levels … In general, I still don’t understand if I like it or not. :frowning:
Anduril is peculiar. For example, you cannot configure thermal control after 10 clicks (via technical mode).
I will check the parasitic leak later, but this is not very important, it makes sense to unscrew the lid anyway. A few millimeters are enough.

Is this light using anduril 2? Otherwise anduril 1 should have the thermal config after 4 clicks iirc

Thank. Got it already, empirically.

Wow, I love the beam and tint, hhmmmm. Saw someone else post about how they liked the beam of this optic and was think'n the same thing. I got lots of multi-LED SST-40's and XHP50.2's way brighter, but this light for me hits the spot with a nice clean spot, not crazy heat, and I'm not noticing the green I guess. I'm using the Vapcell T50 with this light and it's outstanding. Granted, it's not the good SST-20 3500K quality, but for a 5000K, it's better than other 5000K LED's I got.

For me, the 351D 4000K sliced, XPL-HI V2 5D, and the good SST-20 3500K are about the best.

Of course I got Anduril 2 loaded, fully calibrated for temp and voltage.

Isn’t 50T too much for a direct drive SST? I think this is exactly the option: you even connect a nuclear power plant, anyway, a diode greater than 9A will not accept …

Dunno off hand, it works well for me. Think I measured in the ~9 amp range and got a good reflow, good MX-4 grease, etc.

I just glow for a while after turbo A Vapcell T50 is supposedly a Samsung 50S.

By the way, on my substrate is not copper, brass, although 2mm thick.
In general, I do not like SST 5000K in this optics. I will put XHP50.2 3000K. Only now I think: to dedomite or not?

Is the xhp50 3000k 6v or no? Are you planning on a new driver?

What is substrate? The XHP50.2 3V does not come in 3000K, so is it a 6V LED?

Yes, it’s 2mm, but I’m pretty sure it’s red copper in mine. I polished it to make it smoother. Unfortunately, there is no 3V XHP50.2 warmer than 5000K. At present, it is currently only available around 6000K.
I’d like to see with CULPM1.TG.

Guys Beriled argue that there is: Светодиод Cree 3V XHP50.2 New - 551 руб.

I have brass. I can take a picture, but you can take my word for it. I had something to do with metalworking.

Are you talking about the MCPCB??? Don't know why you are not answering my questions.

If so, from 2012, I've never seen or heard of a brass MCPCB - ever. It's thermal conductivity is worse than aluminum, it would be a mistake and tragedy, to say the least.

Some copper MCPCB's, like Hank's Noctigons, have gold plating on the bottom that has the same color as brass - maybe that's why?

The photo is not very good, but I think it’s clear: what is it …
