e21a typically come with the floody optic anywayā¦ on the contrary Iād recommend getting a regular one to try as well. I put the 10622 in my 2200k e21a because Iām a throw fiend and it makes it a better āall roundā light in my view as opposed to just an indoor/up close one. It would appear that 10622 plays nicer on the lower K e21a than the 3500k and higher where colour aberrations are more obvious.
Not sure what the stock optic is, but I'll stay with the stock one then. I don't have any E21A LEDs/lights, so this will be a special light for me. Also I don't have any D4V2, but do have a blue D4SV2 which I really like. I got an old D4, actually an early prototype, upgraded the LED's & firmware couple times.
Just think in brass with the red switch backlight with the warmest E21A's would be pretty awesome.
I Ordered a brass and titanium/copper d4 today, and honestly wouldāve ordered 2 aluminum if they had lighted switch. The lighted switch Hank does is by far better than anyone elseāsā¦ I wish it was on all the Emisars. Even if the prices went up $10 on every one of them, Iād buy them all. Again. Lol
In my experience with Hank, if he has the item in stock (10622, 10623, etc) and you ask him after you get you order confirmation to use one or the other, he will and he wont charge for it unless it actually costs more. I just respond to the order confirmation email, with my question or request. I just wish he carried 10621ās, because for all my xpl-hi and sst20 id have him ship them with that so i wouldnāt have to buy them from MTNe separately.
Your welcome. MtnE has got them, thats where i buy mine from price is pretty decent on them actually. Not sure about shipping to canada.
I dont think the 10621 or 10622 works with the e21a emitters, and thats why Hank changed what he sends out the e21a light with. but i dont own a e21a light to confirm that with.
Feeler: what are peopleās thoughts on paying an extra $5-$10 list base price for a lighted switch on the d4 and d4s? What if it was an option you could add that costs $5 or $7 or $10 (I have no idea how much it actually should cost - between material and man hours of assembly/complexity).
I have to assume that Hank is not doing The lighted switch in the aluminum d4 because the d4 is the most economically priced light he has, and Iāve read a comment from TK that it is the hardest light to assemble Hank has, and his break even between time and material is probably not worth it on the already inexpensive d4. And then I must further assume he has hesitations about raising the price on the most popular light he sells, after all you know how people love To share their feedback so calmly and courteously (lol).
Iām just saying, I would gladly pay $5-$10 extra, especially if it was an option whether I wanted to or not. I think others may feel the same way? Is $5-$10 way to much? Not enough? Iām trying to open up the floor here for discussion hoping Hank will read it. I want this lighted red or warm white switch light on a cyan or gray colored d4. Or a green backlit switch on a green d4s! Drool! Lol.
