Seiko Monster
Been busy with 550 cord the past week or so. Fun hobby.
ha, glow cord, i like it
Yeah that one turned out better than I thought. It glows bright at first, fades gradually but never goes completely dark. I dont normally like white watch straps at all.
Bezels machined for the actual SKX don’t fit unfortunately, but at least inserts do on the Heimdallr homages:
That SKX Monster has been sitting on my wishlist for a while. How do you like it?
Finally I managed to find a decent paratrooper style strap for my SteelDive Sumo:
I had actually ordered the classic SKX dial version and received this by mistake (Heimdallr made it right). That said, it’s pretty good except that I can’t get the caseback off to regulate it and it’s running about 10s/d slow (I ALWAYS prefer a watch running fast). Lume is slightly worse than the MM300 dial version and San Martin 62MAS and on par with an Orient Ray.
Overall QC and finishing is very good for the price! Happy I’ve gone with them over the Long Island Watch SKX homage TBH thanks to being half the price. Just wish all SKX parts were compatible.
I have had my new Casio GGB100-1A3 for a week now and absolutely love it , I would post a picture but not able to.

What’s wrong with the caseback of the Heimdallr SKX?
At a glance it’s the same as SteelDive and I managed to have a couple of my SteelDives regulated without any problem.
I am a watch guy, (and a pen guy), so I have a bunch.
Including the Citizen Skyhawk Blue Angels edition
A bunch of original vintage swatches
An Apple Watch
My grandpas mid 60’s Hamilton
To name a few.But this is what I love to carry now.
1902 Waltham pocket watch. I absolutely love this watch.
Very nice, very nice :sunglasses:

I’ve tried almost everything short of supergluing a bolt to it (that’s an actual method, you can remove with an acetone soak afterward) to try and remove them and simply can’t. Neither my MM300 or Monster dial variants will budge at all. Not about to shell out for a professional caseback remover that costs as much as one of the watches either.
I bought the ever-popular Citizen Eco-drive BM8180 analog watch over a year ago, and aside from the classic aviator styling I like, I also liked the solar power feature enough to think: “Wouldn’t it be great to have another solar watch I can use when I am giving my Citizen a nice sun bath on the windowsill?” After looking around, and carefully watching a certain retail website in the US with rapidly fluctuating prices on many items, I bought my first Casio G-shock - a GWM5610-1. I paid about $90, and I can’t imagine a better value in features for the money. Most G-shocks are too large for me, but this fits me well. Sure, the style isn’t for everyone, and many people would not wear it in a suit-and-tie situation, but ever since I put it on, my citizen gets little wrist time. It just works very well, and does everything I could want a watch to do on a typical day, with no maintenance to worry about except for topping off the charging every once in a while. I have the power-save feature turned on, the auto-backlight turned off, and the time syncing works here near the east coast, even though my apartment windows face east - the opposite direction from the atomic clock in Ft. Collins, Colorado.
Great choice, my GWM5610 arrives Tuesday.
And because I also wanted something with traditional hands, this one arrives Tuesday.
I am also a fan of G-Shock watches. My current EDC watch is this Gravity Master. I like the copper tone and orange nylon band of this model.
