Can i mod my incandescent surefire G2 with this bulb?

Yes I think you can as it takes a P60 drop-in.

But get a second opinion. Is the surefire G2 plastic?

If so this Drop-in would produce too much heat and be no good for the Surefire G2.

Disassemble your flashlight and take a look at the bulb assembly. If it looks like the one on ebay it should work fine, as long as your flashlight body isn't plastic like How2 stated.

And welcome to BLF!

Thanks guys! It is plastic so unfortunately won't work.

FYI, you can get a complete Solarforce body sans drop-in for as little as $7.99. Throw that drop-in in there along with a good 18650 and you're set for <$30.

Btw, Manafont has the new xml drop-ins cheaper...

Thanks very much match... what i was trying to do was repurpose 2 incandescent surefires with LED drop-ins for the least cost... any idea what I would have to drop down to so as to not generate too much heat for the plastic bodies?

If you run it on medium or low then not that much heat is produced, then your better geting XRE Q5 5 mode Drop-in or XPG R5 5 mode drop-in.

I have both and they work well with 1x 18650 battery or 2x RCR123

I have a Surefire G2 (plastic) which runs fine on a R5.
