Sofirn D25S on sale $12 SST40 1200lm

Bought 2, great lights, this should be the poster child for a Budget headlamp. Sofirn rules.

The UI sounds pretty decent - it's the preferred style for me with the 1-click ON, 1-click OFF. Doesn't say if it has mode memory or not.

The one I bought way back didn't have as good UI and had so called XM-L2's, probably fake. I'd assume this one is 6500K? Doesn't seem to say. If so, they gotta go...

I think they are - definitely cooler than my 5000Ks. On the upside, there’s no green on low modes!

The beam shot I took was on the lowest setting for one of my D25’s and it definitely has green in it. That said they’re not bad lights for the price and I’m happy with them. Of course they’ll probably just sit in one of my boxes along with the other 10 headlights I have never to be used :person_facepalming:

Ah, I was comparing side by side with my 5000K in my Jaxman X2. Probably next to something else I’d see the green.

Mine should get use once I swap the driver, LEDs, and optics… So basically everything lol

Don’t bundle your order with anything else. Sofirn will ship everything together instead of shipping the US light separately.

It looks like Sofirn was ashamed to hang her logo on this Boruit …

It's been sold under many brand names but mostly no name printed. Drivers/UI and LED's may differ. My cheaper clone was same exact quality as the Boruit, and since I swapped the driver and LED's, that stuff didn't matter.

It’s still strange that it is completely faceless and is sold as Sofirn … And it seems there are no special improvements: no moonlight, no stabilization anywhere, the light is too collected …
But for $ 13 with a battery … These are 2 coffees in Europe.

These are the type you use for work. Knock around. Leave in car. Get paint or grease on them.

I used mine for bench work, but the headband was a pain - constantly loosening up, and really needs the cross support over the head. Need to find a better head band for it.

I still have FET+1 PCBs left. If there is an interest i can solder some. 7Eu + 3Eu shipping with tracking.

I did not notice this but I have a large head. Did have to readjust when putting them on but stayed tight after that.

^^^That^^^

The new Wuben 2AAA plastic headlamp is light enough to be fine with one band. For me, headlight this heavy that has no top band is a deal breaker, even at this price.

I've been using the YLP Panda hi CRI headlamp as of late - much better headband.

Should try the H1 headband here, for qty 2 they are like $4 each. Dunno if it will fit though.

I need a good amount of light (old eyes) and rechargeable batts that will last a while.

Someone here recommended to give the stock band a try. I did and its quite nice. Much easier to put on and off, it also works much better with hats.

Mine loosens whenever I take it on/off, but doesn’t seem to do it much while I wear it. That’s for my D10, same band - I haven’t worn the D25S yet.

Yep, happens every time I take it off then on, plus slides down, but I was using it every day, sometimes for several hours. It's not made for that kind of use.

I got my 3 units yesterday and tested the charging. All stopped just under 4.2 volts and showed 0 amps after completion. Everything working properly. Good for gifting now.

BTW if MCPCB is not glued to host you can try this The Flood, The Throw And The Anduril.
