I very much doubt that will happen sadly, these get heavily milked and they know a lot will buy this first just to ‘have it’ then buy more as others are released, if you release them all at once you won’t sell so many, well that’s how I see it /it happened every other time.
I agree with that, not selling as many if you release them all at once, and i think the raw and black coming later was a good idea as special models. But i do have to say - try buying a colored fw3a right now, they arent available. Sure you can find blue and green on BG, but everything else is gone. So i think in time they really would sell. I think purple and sand/tan would sell very quickly.
Absolutely, or the Keep power version. I believe 14500 lights with the A6 driver can draw up to around 6.5 amps and I’d expect this to draw more even though I think the final spec. will be considerably less then the 2800lm shown.
Triple would be nice with some small, flat emitters. Like Luxeon CZ or Boost HM.
But considering that the PCB is going to be custom and therefore it will be hard to convert to another footprint, 3535 might be a better choice. And it will be very very floody with any good 3535 emitter that’s available with high CRI. So…i like the uniqueness. I love how it shaves a couple of mm from the length. But I think that a single emitter would be overall a better choice.
ADDED:
I see that there’s an emitter choice posted a while ago. As expected, all options are 3535.
I would say SST-20 because it’s relatively throwy. But warm CRI-95 only, no 6500K EDC.
BTW, XP-P might be a fun choice. Though I wouldn’t pick one.
I’m already on the list, but will add my preference for the LEDs. I would love warm high-CRI SST-20 (either 2700k or 4000k, doesnt matter too much to me). I have no interest on the cool white SST-20, so if the options remain the same I would choose the Nichia 219C 4000k.
