my knee jerk reaction was i did not like it. But after reading ^ this comment, you are right! it is two quad optic sets of leds side by side, i didnt even see it at first. I will definitely buy this. Probably would be 6000+ lumens, and throw well. and fit in pocket well too.
I just hope he starts making battery tubes interchangeable, the only credit i can give to a company like astrolux over emisar. I think the k9.3 and k1 probably are, but d4s would be nice with the k1 tube, and this one all being the same. there is something i like about that.
I thought that I did not like the front end, but after looking again it is the round rear that I do not like, does not fit the front. If the block shape was continued in the battery section, with perhaps two 18650’s next to each other fitted in, that would look way cool!
I like it. Flat enough for pockets. 8 LED’s of goodness. Highest out put XP-L’s and high CRI for the others. I’d like to see it in 21700 or 26650/26800. However that giant hand angle makes it look like 8 XP-G’s on a 18500. I could go for that one too.
uhhh, now you’re just asking for miracles LOL, does a “hi cri” xhp50.2 even exist at the moment? you want Hank to create a new light AND cree to create a new LED? i like your enthusiasm though
I agree, but i really hope it is 21700, and not 18650. I guess two 21700 side by side may be too big, but id rather have one 21700 with its higher amp capability then two 18650’s, unless of course the 18650 were in series with a hi amp buck driver. then we would be talking. need to POWER those 8 leds :sunglasses:
Ill take the cslpm1 version by the way, alongside my xpl-hi 5D 4000k version . dammit… now i’m getting excited for this potentially fictional prototype.
