This is not simple…the brass tab and its electrical path must pass be insulated from the shelf…and it would be interesting to know how.

Yeah, the UI definitely needs work. 2click for strobe is pretty hideous.

Moonlight would be nice, if not a must (at least for EDC).

Even if not an “EDC” light, I mostly use my GTmicro in basically only 2 modes, moonlight (reset down to 1 from the default 3/5/whatever) and wide-open. Even low is “too high” when I just want to see the clock across the room, etc.

Backlit switch only if constant, not “breathing”. That’s one dealbreaker for me. F’n creepy…

How long can it maintain high mode?
Will it step down by timer or by temperature?
How many lumens will it step down to?

Did they settle for lower output than the pre-production reviewed here?

Does not look like. However, I am not trying to buy. The flashlight is interesting, but to be honest, I am not satisfied with the modes and most importantly: the price. Not willing to pay for it like D4V2
Confusion is obvious with modes. The title indicates 900lumens …

It says below that the test is with NiMh. I assume 900 lumens is with 14500.

Will this run a 10A cell without frying the LED?

It’s the PM version so 14500s should be fine unless there’s a heatpath issue (see one of the smaller GTs with aluminum MCPCB - mini or micro, I can’t recall).

Ok cool. I am curious about parasitic drain with the illuminated switch.

Sorry for the late response but it was quite a busy week for me.

Got the parasitic measurements:
Illuminated switch off: 0.12 mA
Illuminated switch on: 0.99 - 1.09 mA

Note that I’m having an early engineering sample, so the final model might be having different parasitic drain specifications.
