2021 Remaster
Recorded live at the 2004 Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony of George Harrison, the backstory is that Prince skipped the rehearsal! No problem. His is still the best performance in an all star band that features, among others, George's son Dhani Harrison.
Nice to see this remastered version. It was released only two days ago.
This second video is primarily for musicians, but may entertaining to all. It's the same performance by Prince and the gang, but with musical analysis provided by the reviewer.
Some excellent geetar.
R.I.P. John Dee Holeman, a fine blues guitarist that I never heard until today. You touched me.
Thanks for posting this, as well as the excellent songs by Emmylou and George. All three took me to fun places I don't usually go.
I was completely blown away the first time I saw Prince play this solo back in 2004, and it still floors me today. The other guitarist is no slouch either. He is Marc Mann, a confederate of Jeff Lynne, seen here delivering the solos Clapton played in the original Beatles recording.
