New Release:E70 Compact/Intuitive/Practical Pocket-sized Flashlight

12V or 6V LED?

Double click for ON? Is this a joke?

All those holes, slots, grooves and ridges make for perfect mud and dirt catchers. Also XHP70 in such tiny host, arent there any better LED options? Pass.

Agree, those slots are asking for trouble. Nice looking but not for EDC purposes.

6V

Yes, Double click for ON as for avoiding accidental activation.

It can be removed off to clean. Used the advanced CREE XHP70.2 LED.

Can we get a picture of the sleeve removed?

I find it good looking, but “intuitive and practical” really made me LOL once I saw it was a 70.2 and double click on. :person_facepalming:

If there was a momentary memorized on with a single press and hold and moon with a click hold this UI could actually work for me. But the SST70 would have been a MUCH better choice for a light this size. Fenix is getting that right at least. Nichia 144 or B35AM should be offered for High CRI

Yes, will be updated the picture soon.

Do those slots/holes in the grip actually expose the battery? egads…

I like the concept, but can’t stand the look. I’m a fan of other ACEBEAM styles but this one is too tacky for me. Makes it look cheap. I don’t mind the idea of a double click to get to turbo to stop accidentally turbo flaming your pants off but needs to be single click for other modes.

No, these slots/holes are not exposed the battery.

I think it looks really nice with the blue accents and the twisty pattern.

Double clicks ON that is designed to prevent accidental activation in pocket.

how long can it sustain turbo 5000 lumens ?

In my humble opinion, an optional electronic lockout via 4 clicks from OFF is more convenient and more common. I have some doubts that „doubleclick“ from off is a good way to prevent accidental activation. Moreover, it clashes with the convention to turn on with turbo mode.

Maybe you could consider putting a Getian FC40 HighCRI LED into E70. It might cope better with these new design elements on the tube. To me E70 looks like a typical „lifestyle“ product but not like a tool for tough business - even worse as it seems the principle „function follows form“ is used here. The battery tube is a key element to pick up and dissipate the excess heat coming from the flashlight‘s head.

Double-click for on to prevent accidental activation is kind of irrelevant. This is what manual lockout or electronic lockout is for. This will be a deal-breaker for a lot of enthusiasts, but to be fair, it may appeal to regular users not used to double-click for turbo.

Why not revise the UI to remove the double-click and just make it single click?

Xhp70.2 in 6 volt generates a lot of heat at 5000 lumens and this little host with minimal thermal mass needs aggressive thermal throttling to keep it from melting.

I like the design, but I think a different emitter would have been better (sst70, hint, hint)

I think it is a very attractive light.
