Well I guess I was wrong then. I couldn’t find any info linking it to him. I tend to be overly suspicious sometimes. I mean, after all we do have an entire thread of people ripping off Matt Smith’s videos to sell every knock off flashlight in the book…
For the W4, I see Neal carries it so I would FB message and/or email Neal to ask him what's the best deal he can give me, saying I'm on BLF. It's worked for me every time (few times).
That’s a good call! Neal is well informed as to who I am. lol my wallet doesn’t think that’s anywhere near as funny as I do!
In fact I decided to punish my wallet even more today and pulled the trigger on the Xsword - Chibim has a code up that lasts until April 30th. lol one of those had to do it moments is how I sleep at night
Anybody with any knowledge of designs in the pipeline? I’d love to see a 2*21350 33mm head diameter light from Maxtoch for example. W10gii intensity but sustainable for the full battery discharge. Imagine a sustained 600kcd in a P60 sized light. I’d sell 2/3rds the throwers I have for this.
You just need the right driver. The buck/boost IC used in the Lume1 for example is more than enough to keep a lep module powered at full brightness, even off an 18350 for a good 15 minutes. Heat is an issue as laser diodes are very sensitive.
Yes, a boost driver would do as well. 2S buck seems more common in the wild than 1S boost for 4-5V out though which is why I mentioned that.
I don’t actually care if they run continuously at full brightness, but rather at any given SOC, it’ll turn on and deliver full output. I hate having to keep cells at 4+ volts to achieve peak output, especially in low use lights that degrade these pricy and now hard to get cells.

Looks to good to be true but maybe thats just me though from the looks of beamshot it doesn’t have the profile of what would be a LEP at least none of mine have such profile though my fenix TK15 from 2011 has such a profile.

Well I haven’t yet checked the specks at all but I’m guessing it will have a proprietary battery and probably over priced. However it will probably preform quit well and the build quality will most likely be excellent.
