New Release:E70 Compact/Intuitive/Practical Pocket-sized Flashlight

I think it is a very attractive light.

Похоже ACEBEAM будет соревноваться с IMALENT в гонке просвета. Двойное безумие щелчка. Взрослый человек мог подойти к дизайнеру, сдуть со стола то, что он нюхал, взять карандаш и поправить.

I agree so the turbo will last how long ? i wish acebeam didnt hide the runtimes like this, why not write honest and fair when stepdown can expect?

Double click from off is
for me to aktivate Turbo-nothing else.

Regards Xandre

Unintentional activation is a problem. 2 clicks for on might be a relatively simple solution that many could learn to live with. But I haven’t seen the rest of the UI. I don’t understand the advantage to all that fancy design on the handle. I will likely never buy anything cold white again. And I don’t believe there’s any evidence anywhere that strobe is going to disorientate an attacker. Please stop claiming such nonsense. Yes any bright light is going to slow someone down a tiny little bit. But your next move after hitting them with a bright light or a strobe better be really good.

I like the look, but the info lux-perpetua shared about the importance of the battery tube in heat dissipation seems much more important than a flashy look, a 5000 lumen edc needs every advantage to dissipate heat, so the look must take a back seat to the function of its parts. Also, I don’t like the no mention of even a NW option on the website. I also don’t like 2x click for on, I’d rather 4 click for lockout. This brings me to - that must be an E-Switch tail switch? So the blue tube carries the signal from battery negative to positive, I assume ? Is there any potential hazard or drawback to having that signal tube exposed through slots in the handle? Like if you had change or a key in your pocket, could there be an accidental short? I don’t know I’m asking.

I like that they were trying to find a solution to accidental activations, shows they were probably taking suggestions or maybe even following many of the comments on (maybe) this forum that members were making about the fw3a and kr4 style tail switches activating in peoples pockets. But 2 clicks to on, I am curious if that helps at all. I have had my light 4 click locked out and still activate in my pocket due to how it was positioned while I sit while driving, specifically. So guess how I solved the problem? I moved the location of the light in pocket while I drive and no more accidental activation. Essentially I would rather make a small adjustment to how I carry the light instead of the manufacturer adjusting the UI. just my 2 cents.

I would have bought this light if had the regular, good, single click for on/off and double click for turbo UI.

ALSO…. I would have have fitted an Luminus SST-70. Would have made for a great flashlight. Would have….

#metoo I agree. I think the sst-70 is an underutilized emitter.

If only SST-70 was available in warmer tints than 6500K. (sigh)

I installed a SST-70 in my Convoy L6. Whaaaaat a beam!

Hey ACEBEAM, time to start taking a few tips from potential customers

Fenix knows. SST70s everywhere from them.
If that emitter ever comes in hi cri 4000k, it’s all over.

6500k kills it for many blf’ers who are what I am fast becoming…a ‘tint snob’. After about 45 lights I’m becoming far more selective on tint than I had been. Edjamacation I suppose.

Fenix does seem to have good management. They have their eye on the future.

CR888, we agree.
4000k, or less, or no deal.

Is that in terms of efficiency AND tint rendering? Nothing else would be coming close?

I have to say, this E70 in higher cost materials is visually attractive but more of a “bling” light. Not an EDC, because of the crevices for attracting dirt. Good that the sleeve can be removed for cleaning, but the operative word is “cleaning.” Imagine getting out your cotton swabs and pushing them through each and every hole/gap. Still, it’s a work of art. I would treat it as such. Not EDC. But what kills it for me is the UI. “double-click” from off is very non-standard. I’ve already tested this out with a RovyVon Aurora A8. Now this is a light that cannot be physically locked out, because there is no removable battery. They chose double-click for on, and hold from off to give momentary turbo. It’s… OK, for a keychain light. But not an EDC.

Frankly, if the E70 came with Anduril AND an SST70, I’d be buying one.

I believe the have 5000k. I personally love the 219b sw35.

Will you offer other led options in the future?

“All-in-one metal tail switch for convenient operation”

Does this have an electronic tail switch?

Accidental (in pocket) activation on tail switches hasn’t been a problem for me, far more of an issue with the side switches.
Although it could be more likely to happen if it’s an e-switch (that doesn’t require much pressure like a mechanical switch)
