Is 10 amps continuous enough to run a D4v2 flashlight?
I have SST20 4000K 95CRI, Neutral White - XP-L HI V3 3A, 5000K, and SST-20 Deep Red, 660nm LEDs.
Specifically, I am looking at the Panasonic NCR18650BD battery.
By and large, I don’t run max output. Just occasionally for a few seconds (e.g., to show off). It is important that while I’m showing off, I don’t blow my hand off with an exploding battery.
They arent cheap but they are every bit as good as 30q, some say better, some say the longevity isnt as good, bu ti think its so close you couldnt tell.
They are better than 30Q, hit harder with less sag and gold higher voltage longer. Can handle up to 25 amps up to 80 degrees C limit. 30Q is only good for 20 amps to 80 C. Yes, the 30Q lasts a bit longer, but I’ve been using vtc6 for a long time in my FET lights and they’re awesome.
Well, based on the recommendations above, I grabbed a dozen Molicel P26A 18650 2600mAh 35A batteries. They looked good. 400 mAh down from the 3000, but they were cheap and available and have plenty of amps.
