I have 2 iClouds, 1 Hotmail, 1 Gmail and 1 Yahoo for a total of 5. Hotmail is all spam all day and everyday. :smiling_imp: Gmail is online stuff. :smiling_imp: Yahoo is I don’t know yet. :innocent: iCloud is primary and secondary. :slight_smile:

So I actually just use 3. Are you similar or are you different?

essentially an unlimited number of email addresses. i run mail on a bunch of my own domains, and and i use a separate address for each account/service. i often use a unique address for each transaction.

About 35-40. Plus all the variations (dots) in between my gmails. ha.

not really, and that's kind of the point. when spam arrives at some address, that address doesn't accept messages anymore. it bounces everything. this isn't a problem because that address was only used for one specific thing.

I don’t have an email address.

I do similar to SYZYGY.

Multiple domains, unlimited emails at those domains.
All emails and domains monitored on one screen in K9.

Reverses the model. I allocate one to anyone I correspond with.

Do you guys run an email server yourself or do you pay a company to do it?

I didn’t count my work…
I’m the email admin there (among about 20-30 other hats), as such for all our domains I have to get email addressed to webmaster@domain.com, administrator@domain.com, postmaster@domain.com (and in some cases .org) not to mention my actual address…

Most email providers accepts any string after ‘+’ sign. So one can have unlimited address like username+something@whatever.com.

Other solution is to use mail forwarder (like forwardemail.net) + buy own domain. All emails will be forwarded to one’s specified email address.

I have two.

Gmail and Hotmail.

I primarily use Gmail, and I like it a lot.

Hotmail doesn't work with my slow internet very well, and I don't like it, but I've had my Hotmail address for decades.

I used to have an Excite and a Yahoo email address, but I quit using them many years ago.

1. work.
2. play.
3. fake.
4. friends/relatives.
5. confidential.

work: “have to have” although no one expects anything. there are better ways.
play is for BLF and others.
fake is for one-time sign-ups.
f/r keeps the spam contained.
confidential is just that.
