SunLike, in a year or two years, with the work you are doing in this area, a company is going to try to buy you out in a way that may well sell you short, or worse maybe just take your work and market with a much larger backing fund.
Here are both options. I like the idea of risers best, since that gives us the ability to have the LEDs at the same depth within the fixture as a standard BR30. The overlays do show that it might still have a clearance issue though. I’d have to get a more detailed diagram of the standard BR30 fixture to check that clearance without just trying to screw something in.
The extender solves clearance, but also has the plane of LEDs 15mm further from the socket.
I’m surprised to learn that MASS15D costs more per watt than SunLike10 with SOL unless one buys 20 bulbs or more.
I guess that SunLike10 is not dimmable but I still find it surprising.
My mistake, I meant SunLike9 and I used 9W for calculations.
2.11 $/W with any CCT compared to 2.33 $/W for MASS15D 4000K without discount and 2.4 $/W for other CCTs.
now all MASS models (9,11,15,gx53 and another) I produce without crowdfunding
but I am going to start MASS and CHEAP model. 12W for 22$
Now I taker pre-orders (I am going to order parts for 500-1000pcs) for RIRERA Cheap 12-13 watt (not dimmable) 85-285v with round diffuser 18x3030 6.2v SunLike Ø68x138mm 130grams Δ34.5° E27/26 e14 B22
mass product. Not 1-2pcs, like now, because really much options and models. 2nd reason was to have ready to shipping bulbs. 3rd it that mass bulbs should be produced not by me, but by my worker.
bulk (10pcs) it is only for MASS CHEAP model
Can you show photos taken from a different angle for this model (so that you can we the connection of the diffuser from the top with the aluminum heat sink)? I wonder why You use another than default diffuser for this model. For better emission angles? You connect this diffuser using some kind of adhesive?
OK, I saw it now but I don’t understand Your language and still don’t know the reason. But I see we have same hand and fingerprint damages propably because of doing a lot of soldering and touching hot stuff
PS. You use unmodified Qihan drivers for this mass model?
PS2. OK now I see it is a propably Remez 7-8W model diffuser. It doesn’t surprise me that it was possible to buy cheaper shells without diffusers and adapters plus remez made diffusers. I also use this ~12W shells and must say it is a good quality product.
1. for wider lighting angle
2. for better cooling
3. to protect the LEDs from insects and dust
4. neutral or universal silicone. the gap between the board and the diffuser is 0.5 mm, coincidentally, I didn’t even plan these boards for round diffusers, I designed them for the 11 watt model
