Welcome to great BLF forum!
For coke can lights my favourite is Sofirn SP36, you can see some it is variants. It is best for bucks.

Yeah, the SP36 BLF edition is a very good and affordable light, its about 36 usd or so

Welcome to BLF Kwispelhond! Nice flashlights and congrats on figuring out how to include a picture on your first post.

It's a pleasure to know you, Kwispelhond!

I’ve been eyeing some of those multi-emitter lights but nothing decided still.

These SP36’s are pretty useless en goofy at almost half a kilo so perfect for geek-play, wonder if I’ll don’t need the brightest of the series so the “Pro” version, I’ve never even seen something as bright as 8.000lm even if it’s only for a minute or so. fortunately they make one in 5000K too as I can’t imagine I’ll ever going to like looking at 8.000lm in CW. Must admit that the least powerful version, the BLF with the hi-cri Samsung’s seems like much nicer light to look at thou.

And then the grown-up part in me tells the child in me to just buy the Lumintop FW3A or FW4A because these ones are actually portable……. Ahhhh decisions, decisions……. :person_facepalming:

Welcome to BLF, Kwispelhond.

Welcome to BLF! With that collection you’ll feel right at home here

Look what the man in the white van just dropped off, 9 days from China:

So we charge the batteries that came with it and wait for dark……, s*, it’s still early…… :person_facepalming:

So, the man in the White Van raced by again today: again very fast all the way from China in 10 days!

Jep, an older BLF light, The Kronos X5 with XP-L Hi 5300K 3b led. I was looking for something well pocketable with some more throw and came by this flash from the past for only 20,56 euro, it’s the last ones going out on sale. Really happy with it so far, seems good quality and looks like it will do perfect for camping with low moonlight, good throw but still usable spill. At the moment I have no better 14500’s than my Eagletac’s at max 3A but I’m waiting on delivery of some H10’s from Vapcell, well over a month already, they took the slow boat but these will make this light SHINE!!

Is the clip reversible on your Ti3 V2 shown in the OP? That looks like a good size for a hands-free headlamp on the brim of a cap.

Yes, the clip is reversible and is pretty good and strong so that will probably work pretty good.

So another new light, one that doesn’t shine… :person_facepalming:

Discussion about lights mentioned UV-lights, I have non and also no idea what to do with them. Someone said “you have to find out for yourself what to do with it” so I decided I will. I was told to get me one with the LG-led and a ZWB2 filter and Simon makes those for the kind of money to just try it for fun so here it is, 11 days from China so still pretty fast.

Only one mode at 1,75A…, that was turbo-level not so long ago so it gets hot…, actually pretty hot pretty fast but the hardest thing is to not look into the light as you don’t see it but it is still very damaging for the eyes. Someone mentioned that I’d get scared of my own toilet and bathroom, well the toilet needed a visit so I had a peak with the light first: cleaning lady does her job very well as there’s nothing scary to see, all very clean!

you need something with anduril UI

FW3A is the classic

small
powerful
flexible

SP36 has Anduril, like the FW3A too thou so probably will buy one somewhere down the line.

also you need at least one 1x18650 light

they have SO much more power and energy than AA or AAA

Good morning Swispelhond,

If you are looking for a 4 x AA light, you can consider Sofirn SF11. I got one during the recent 6.6 Sale for just about US$18 (without battery). It works fine, although it is not very bright, when compared with 18650-powered flashlights.

Termsak
(In the Little Red Dot: This is Singapore’s unofficial but popular nickname.)

Late in the night here!

I’ve seen the SF11 and it’s nice and cheap, the SP36 had me re-think the can-style lights thou. The SP36 is 3x18650 so thicker, longer and heavier than the SF11 but I find the can-form lights actually pretty much a real hand full and not very practical. I like the idea of a light that works on AA’s I can get everywhere when in need, but I want it at least being portable and the can-style lights are too thick for my pockets so I’ll stick to the small AA-lights and the 18650 lights like those I already use now. I’m not sorry I bought the SP36, it’s a fun play-light and incredible bright and powerful but practical it is not.

Welcome on board!

You may look up Haikelite as they make some pretty powerful coke-can lights, some of them produce >10k or even >20k lumens output.

Let’s us know if you need something more powerful. :sunglasses:

So, I just can’t resist a sale :person_facepalming: so here’s the next one, ordered the 22th, sent the 23th and received the 30th!! That’s a new record in 7 days for me as the old record was in just 8 days.

It’s a Sofirn IF25S with 4x SST20 4000K CRI 95+ led’s. Yes, I went for quality over quantity this time, my first 21700 light too as I wanted to try one for size. I regret I didn’t order the pocket-clip as it seems small enough to actually clip into a pocket and it always helps against rolling away and finding the button easy. First impression is very positive but I’ll have to wait for the dark to really test it. I did not order the Sofirn battery with this one but bought a Samsung 40T locally so the turbo has enough juice to really shine. :disappointed:

I will order a bit less for the near future because of the new EU sales-tax rules per 1th of July. The 22 euro free of tax that was is now no longer actual and VAT or in my country called BTW (21) should now be over every order whatever the price was. This makes it not just more expensive than just the sales-tax as the shippers now also can claim an extra fee for the declaration so small orders will go up a lot: for this order 21 + 7.- euro handling so about 12 euro (this light was just over 20 euro in the sale). I’ll guess they will stop charging the smallest orders pretty soon as it will cost much more than it’s worth but I’ll just wait a bit to see how this is going to work out.
