Which movie did you watch lastֻ

WRATH OF MAN (2021)

The plot follows H, a cold and mysterious character working at a cash truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week.

I really liked this movie, I recommend you watch it if you like action flicks.

Greenland

It was extremely good. Surprisingly well-written and realistic for an epic disaster flick. The characters acted intelligently and realistically and there were no obvious plot holes.

I loved Greenland back when it came out. thought it was one of the better disaster movies, normally they are unrealistic or hilarious. This one was actually good.

Saw that a long time ago, not bad.

She (AP) was the voice of The Grumpy Cat, too.

When a young loner becomes the gestational surrogate for a single man in his 40s, the two strangers come to realize this unexpected relationship will challenge their perceptions of connection, boundaries and the particulars of love.
Together Together (2021)

last in our McQueen “zone”.
we watched this while waiting
for the Wallops Island launch,
but it was scrubbed for the 4th time.

typical guy dies girl lives movie.
(like Titanic and so many others)
long, too.

(Bergen was 75 on the 9th)

and Wallops
scrubbed
again. #5.
so……

the first half is entertaining.
the second half is rubbish.
this is one case where
i might read the book
after seeing the movie
since it is supposed
to be really good
unlike this.

re-watched re-animator :sunglasses: a classic

Full Out

A young gymnast’s Olympic aspirations are crushed after a debilitating accident.

the G.O.A.T.
if you like swords.
not dialogue, though.
definitely not dialogue.

Oxygene on NetFlix.

Kind of a Sci-Fi doomer premise but with one really long monologue.

Chris

I saw Sightseers (2012).

This movie is okay.

The acting is decent, and the music is good.

The movie is somewhat entertaining.

The two protagonists seem like good people in the beginning, but turn out to be horrible people.

It's a pretty dark comedy with some horror elements.

Most of the movie isn't all that funny, but the ending is really good and fitting.

Overall, it's not bad for a low budget film.

The Get Together

A recent college post-grad, a soon-to-possibly-be-engaged couple, and a failing musician all deal with the realities of growing up as their three stories intersect over the course of one night at a house party in Austin.

The Dry /2020/

Not bad, but a little slow.

Denzel is our favorite “action hero” and this one is just O.K.; not great.
borrowed the DVD from our library. glad we did not pay to see it.

personally, i could not get over the weird color rendition (CIA movie reference),
and the vibrating or shaking camera viewpoints. however, it is mindlessly entertaining.

This past weekend I watched “Strange Brew” 1983. I hadn’t watched it in more than a decade, still as stupid funny as I remembered it as being.

Yeh, it’s FAF.

I got (amazon) a coupla Elsinore Bier teeshirts, too. One’s beat to Hell, waiting for it to develop a hole or something before I start wearing the backup.

“The Limey” (1999). This is a very inventive and well-acted movie reflecting on the nature and justification for revenge, the effect of memory on our actions, and the culture clash of wealthy Los Angeles vs. hard-knock life British ex-con. Impressive performance by Terrence Stamp. The director, Steven Soderbergh, recently gave an interview in which he said that he was never more in terror than when in post-production for this film and the movie was not coming together. He re-imagined the film, it was re-edited, and the result is a creative and original success. In the same interview, Soderbergh also said that, if the film had done better at the box office, he would have pursued a sequel that takes place in the UK, where the main character, Wilson, would seek revenge against the criminal colleagues whose betrayal led to his prison sentence.

The Limey (1999) sounds like it's similar to Memento (2000), my favorite movie of all time.
