After 3D printing some Lantern kits for various Maglites, I decided to make one for the old angle head Fulton MX991 “moonbeam”.
It gives off a decent amount of light with the 55 lumen Nite Ize LED drop-in.
The kit consists of a diffuser that is attached to the light using the plastic ring that holds the colored filters in place and a base that slides on to the clip that keeps the light from tilting.
That is freakin’ COOL!!!
Any plans to make/sell a few?
I probably will. I just started selling kits for the AA Mini Mag, ML50, ML300 and D cell Mags. I still need to work on the base for the Fulton kit for a nicer fit on the clip, so I will probably need to print a couple more prototypes before I am satisfied enough with the design to offer them for sale.
Got the base sorted….I really like this set up. I have been using the MX991 “Lantern” a lot.
