Coronavirus **personal experiences** thread

Good info, it appears a little under half the states have a mask mandate.
All states are listed with a YES or No along with other pertinent information.:white_check_mark:

State-by-State Guide to Face Mask Requirements

Not surprising. :frowning:

Not considering the source.

Evidence speaks for itself. Doesn’t matter who presents it. Questions must be asked. Besides, this is global, people under fire will have to answer to the world.

2 + 2 = 4… not 5.

Very true, but if it's polemic/controversial then it shouldn't be presented or asked on this forum. That's all I'm asking of users here.

And?

At what point were mask policies introduced in each of those states?
Were there any other policies implemented in the various states that would effect infection rates?
Why did you select only four states?

Your chart isn’t overly useful.

I see “questions asked” a lot over the last year, that are not questions, they are actually insinuations dropped into the internet, if you pack them up as questions you don’t have to bother backing them up with actual data. People “asking” those questions are not seeking answers.

For me really cheap and tiring, for others very damaging. … :weary:

A Misleading C.D.C. Number

Is this some kind of a bad joke from the CDC ?

Zombie Preparedness

Exactly. Well said.

Everyone has a right to make their own decisions, whether based on fact or fiction or based on nothing more than a whim. I don’t pretend to be an authority on truth or science, but like most here I also have strong convictions. I just choose not to share them on this forum, and I expect everyone else to do the same.

No, not at all. They have had this up for a few years now. Basically, all disaster preparedness is the same; by giving this a rediculous premise, people are more likely to read it and therefore become educated.

Coronavirus **personal experiences** thread

Back when this thread got started over a year ago, there was very little reliable information about COVID, and most of us didn't quite know what to think. So this thread served its purpose with many helpful comments and links. But at this point, there is no shortage of news and/or disinformation and/or opinions and/or predictions and/or facts from any number of outlets that align with one's personal views and preferences. By now, almost everyone has drawn their own conclusions regarding COVID and nothing will change their mind. So it's no longer necessary or permitted on BLF to post links, quotes, opinions, facts, theories, or anything else apart from your own personal experiences relating to COVID.

Thanks in advance to everyone here for helping to keep the peace.

Good idea :+1: .

Yup, I agree.

My personal experience is that I know 4 people that have had covid. They all recovered.

I am vaccinated, as are my adult children. This is making me want to travel to see them. I have not seen my youngest in 19 months since I moved 1000 miles away, just before corona happened.

One person I know that had corona in March 2020, tested positive for antibodies for 2 months after they recovered. By the 3rd month (June) the antibodies were gone.

I was vaccinated in March 2021. I am concerned that if I wait longer than June, that my antibodies will have disappeared.

One guy from this vaccination center where I got my shot told me that we’d likely need a third shot this year (Biontech/Pfizer).
