Headlamp without magnet head or tail

Is there a headlamp on the market for 18650, onboard charging, without magnetic tailcap?

Should I drop the onboard charging in favor of using batteries with onboard charging? How well do these batteries with usb charge ports work & do they fit in the lights ok?

I’m trying to find the lightest weight headlamp in 18650 compatibility to fit my criteria. Not having much luck yet except ZL H604 with a usb charging battery.

You can get an sp40 without a non-magnetic tail cap if you ask them. I don’t think ZLs fit long batteries like button tops or magnetic charging ones.

Yeah there are a bunch. The Skillhunt H03 RC or H04 RC are probably the best option. They ship with a magnetic tail but the magnet is easy to remove.

If you want something that takes a normal USB plug then consider the Sofirn D25S or Thrunite TH30.

How about the BORUiT D10? For less than $15 it includes USB charging, it’s lightweight, very bright, and nice firmware. And easy to mod if you want a different LED. I’m very happy with mine.

After researching more about them, the Sofirn D25S almost works. The weatherproofing isn’t enough but fixing that & if I could get faster charging speeds, I think I’d try it. Is there any way to mod the charging to 1.2A charge rate so it finishes in 2.5hrs like the TH30? The SP40 & TH30 don’t have the right/enough low modes for me. I’d be using up extra battery all the time.

The Skilhunt lights are a good compromise, but it would be better to have a regular charge cable in case of damage or loss during continuous everyday use. The charging speed sucks compared to the Thrunite anyways.
