It’s real enough. It’s not a normal steak. And it isn’t all that great a cut. Don’t really know what it is.
Went there once, in my younger days I might have been able to do the job. but wasn’t impress with the look of the contest steak.
Current record holder, a lion, got the job done inn 80 seconds.
But the monarch of steak eating is Molly, who downed 3 of them!

This video should confirm to the rest of the world that America is the land of conspicuous consumption!

Many years ago I was in Calf. A buddy of mine and I went to some hole in the wall restaurant.
On Thursdays, they had an all you could eat ribs night. The only people in the place were the two of us, a nice normal looking couple, and 6 huge guys a few table over.
The cost was fairly expensive and I’m sure the restaurant normally came out on top. Not Tonight.
Us and the big guys were having a good time. Once they saw we were keeping up with them it became a matter of pride.
After about 30 ribs each, the staff just gave up and come out to watch. The other diners were appalled.
The big guys were Oakland Raiders, vs two guys form Texas. Three of them eventually outpace me. I was hurting for two days.
I’m sure the NFL was training as usual the next day.
A good time was had by all, except the owners.
All the Best.

Johnsonville Jalapeno Sausage.
Emmmmmm Good.
Must be cooked over a real wood charcoal fire. It’s the law west of the Pecos.
All the Best,
Jeff

I don't like analogue watches for myself, but the design of this type of watch has stood the test of time.

RC,
I have a buddy who has a Rolex. He swears that something about him kills all electronic/digital watches in a few months.
But I can tell it annoys him when I can be sure of the exact time on my solar powered Casio Atomic that cost less than the tax on his Rolex.
American Pocket watches were the best time keepers of their era.
All the Best,
Jeff

For any watch aficionados that have 50 minutes to marvel at intricate mechanical designs:

Hank Hill would differ.

My daddy says butane is a bastard gas…

Best lines:
Hank: Peggy, I can’t shoot.
Peggy: Sharp intake of breath - I still love you Hank.

“Bobby! I got pro-pane in my u-rethra!”

OSX BBEdit 13! +25 yrs and running. Demo came out in 1989!

Wow… this one was tough to decide….
I will have to go with racoon city’s “Jeans” entry.

Thanks!

I'd like to see interesting car tail lights.

My mom and I prefer the ones for the Ford Mustang.

I will also accept interesting car headlights and other car lights.

.

How about interestingly classical….

Funny thing is, the Mustang wasn’t the first with sequential turn-signals (too many people today think the new Mustang is the first), as the old ’60s Cougar had them for sure, and I think even earlier was the… Thunderbird? Would have to goggle it.

(But it was mostly a Ford thing.)

Yep, my mom originally liked the Thunderbird tail lights, but I'm not sure if the current Thunderbirds have those tail lights.

I think my mom actually had a T-bird decades ago.

Watches have to be the biggest joke every played on consumers. The most expensive watches are the least accurate. Its a knows fact, a $5 Timex is more accurate than a $20,000 Rolex.

Expensive watches are a symbol of wealth. There are YouTube videos of companies that rent them. So if you want to impress a lady, you can rent a $50K watch for $500/day.

Yeah, I like fairly inexpensive digital watches.

My current watch, a Casio GD350, retails for about $90, which is kinda crazy.

I got it in like new condition for $35, which I consider a steal.
