Image Boss! (no politics, no sexy pics) Have fun. ❤️

Personally, I have a bias for mechanical watches since I admire the the required mechanical precision in the fabrication and workmanship that goes into them (at least the decent ones).
I guess its a bit analogous to the variety of cars perhaps… (pun intended)
Besides, still having the ability to tell time after an EMP shock provides some comfort…. even if it is –4 or +6 seconds off per day ….

My Casio Solar Atomic was been flawless for many years. The metal strap is held to the semi-metal case with some plastic links. These are the things that fail. As I expect they are designed to.
They are very nonstandard. I’ve cobbled them together a few times now. Going to fail for the last go round soon. Don’t remember what it cost, but it has been well worth it.
Never need to touch it, no battery, and the time is always correct.

A friends’ wife, many – many years ago. Was an oiler for Timex. Her station had some sort of magic dingus that dispensed a micro drop of lube when touched to the bearing.
They were expected to oil so XX many watches in a shift. Don’t remember what he told me.
There was bonus money for lubing beyond that number.
He told me his wife was one of the fastest lube(rs).
He also said that when a Timex came in for repair under the warranty, they would just chuck out the movement and put a new one in the case. Not worth anybodies time to fix it.

Here’s a question for y’all.
Do you take your watch off at night?

I often don’t. The Casio has a light up face that is bright enough to see with – with full dark adjusted eyes.
Who needs firefly mode on a flashlight when it’s built into your watch?

All the Best,
Jeff

PS.
Speaking of tail lights…
I once had a 73 Detomaso Pantera way back when. The tail lights were off a Maserati Bora. You did not want to brake one. The side running light were off a Mustang. Free with a happy meal at Autozone.

When I go to bed, I take off my watch.

I don't shower with my watch, but when I'm awake I wear my watch except when it's hot around here, like it is now, I frequently take off my watch.

Time to pick a winner!

(I'm actually a little bit late.)

I'm choosing this pic because it's creative and kinda funny.

The new Image Boss is...

Hank33!

Many thanks for the win brother! :-) Okay lets see some old school "business up front, party at back" Mullet hairstyle. Can be humans or wildlife. :-)

This pic is not of me, but I had a mullet when I was in Junior High School and High School.

I looked terrible with long hair.

I didn't know how to care for it (I still don't) and I had really bad split ends.

Now, at age 45, I have plenty of hair, and my hair grows very quickly, but I keep it short because it looks good on me and it's easy to care for.

I had a male friend in high school with long hair.

His hair looked amazing, for a guy, and that was what I was shooting for.

Joe Dirt - the movie that made Mullets fashionable

David Spade is hilarious!

I used to watch his talk show on Comedy Central before the pandemic.

The show was kinda mean-spirited, but extremely funny.

I hope that talk show comes back.

Hahaha reminds me of a blind date I had back in high school! Okay you’re the winner haze!

Me? Yaaay! :person_with_crown:

Blind date with three beauties? Lucky you!

Le’me see some sea monstrosities ekhm, beauties, the weirder the better.

Just like this perfect killing machine:

Here's something called a Sea Pig.

The very weird looking goblin shark

Pacific Barreleye Fish

The head is transparent so it can see its prey above it in the water.

I've seen a lot of pics of the goblin shark, but that's the best and most disturbing.

Yes it’s almost unbelievable that it’s real, but it is - though this one may be starting to get a little dried out. Pretty well anything that lives at great depths is weird, I suppose they have to specialise in a way of feeding to the point the rest of the body is kinda left behind. Eyes are useless at those depths, though some still see and hunt with light - fascinating down there, and I bet we haven’t seen much of it yet.
