OK, what's different in this pic? C'mon, you can see it, can't ya? What is it?
OK, those of you who notice my brainless posts all over this forum know two things about me - 1.) I sell too many flashlights for no good reason, and 2.) i like pocket clips, and I try to make them, alter them, and rework them. And theres your first hint. Go!
(I just spent an hour in the workshop with a Dremel and this is exciting for me, so just play along :) )
I fitted the KR4 Noctigon deep carry clip to the new E07x FireFlies light (the navy blue one). the hour in the shop was grinding away with a dremel type tool the inside diameter until it fit over the threads of the E07x. Luckily the tail threads are not anodized so there is still an electrical contact even though it only fits OK.
I appreciate everyone taking a look :) and the good feedback . And yea, they do have a Letgo look to em your right lol.
i was so focused on the clips that i didn’t realize that it was just 2 different lights and not 6, now it is obvious that you put a deep carry from the shorter lights onto a taller light, which had the useless shorty clip.
i’ve had short clips break right at the bend—there’s just not enough metal there to flex as needed. The extra loop of the deep carry spreads the flex over 2 bends and is a much better design.
thats what i'm talking about! lol, i totally agree. FireFlies made a really nice design with the "captured clip" and everything but just fell short (imo) with not having a deep carry option..
i have never liked those thin clips either, they come stock on the fw3a series. I a trying to modify one of these clips for the fw X9L, but i dont think the diameter is going to work. I really wish there was a deep carry option for the fw21 pro and X9L..
