Recommend me tips on Soldering enamel wire

… also known as magnet wire or winding wire.

I’m doing a build with custom aux lights and I need to solder ‘hair- like’ enamel wire wire directly to the aux led. I managed to get it right once (and yes it was a pita especially with my skills) but I’ve had to re-do the whole process and stuffed up one of the LEDs.

I’m guessing the trick is to burn/ remove the enamel enough so it takes to the solder…?? Any tips or tricks you can suggest?

Nice of you to nominate him but I don’t see any ‘how to Soldering’ videos.

There’s a video on this page which demonstrates how to burn away the enamel with a tinned iron.
