Honestly it sounds like it is stuck in customs which they have no control over at all. The only way to speed that up is to use an express shipping method that would cost $50-75 and I doubt anyone would want to pay that. Also those express shipping options generally have much higher Tax/Vat fees as well.

It is annoying but sadly unavoidable without seriously jacking up the cost.

Tracking states Cleared Customs on June 7th then picked up by…UPS MAIL INNOVATIONS that same day in Avenel, NJ…went from there to Swedesboro, NJ And been stuck there…4 total days in NJ.

USPS still awaiting item.

I would not put a ton of weight on what the scan says about clearing customs, I have seen packages say they cleared customs only to be scanned again later at customs many times over the years.

That said who knows what the issue could be, the list is too long to count lol.

But also, i will second TA here - I would put Zero stock in it saying that it has already "cleared customs." I have had them state that, then go back into "customs" allegedly. I have also had Alix and BG orders say they were delivered at my house, then the next day change back to they are in NJ waiting for USPS (that was a long day waiting to see if someone just stole my light off my deck ...).

I was most anxious for my light to ship, now that it has, i understand the lack of control and the waiting game of the shipping carriers. mine shipped 12 days ago, no USPS pickup yet, i havent been able to get a reading on parcelsapp.com in 5 days since it hit the US, supposedly.. but I'm not worried. i understand that the "reporting" of the postal service and customs and all of that is weird in this stage of shipments coming from china. I am just expecting it to show up sometime in the next 2 weeks (i am only about 200 miles form Avenal, NJ too). All will be good @Cochise334ever

I hope you are right. I talked to the United States Postal Service and they told me to call UPS. They’re the company that hands it off to the United States Postal Service. UPS told me the package was lost and to start to file a claim. They tried to blame it on the United States Postal Service and they don’t even have the package yet. So I’ll wait and I’ll hope that it shows up on my doorstep.

Yeah, a package getting misplaced happens way more then you think. It could be lost for real but I would give it a week or so and see what happens. A lot of delayed packages were “lost” at one point.

If it has still not shown up next week I would indeed start the claim process. Contact wildtrail and they can file a claim on there end as well.

I bought it off of AliExpress what does wild Trail have to do with it if I have to go that Avenue? I couldn’t find any information on that company.

I’m just going to wait now. But if you could give me that information I would appreciate it just in case I need to use it. I would think UPS is still responsible. But I know it’s going to be a big headache and a bunch of BS between the post office and UPS if it indeed is lost.

They would simply be filing a claim just like you only from the senders side.

Things have changed a bit but when when I used to ship 5-10k packages a year they pretty much always needed the sender to be part of a claim. I think those rules have relaxed now but it won’t hurt anything to have them file a claim as well (technically it would be the same claim really).

I am Not clear on Who “They” are? WildTrail? Aliexpress?I have no info on Wildtrail who you recommended me to also file a claim?I asked for that info in my previous message.

I used a credit card not Paypal. I will wait until Wednesday then call my bank and have them get my money.

I am hoping it shows up…if not I will fight whoever I have to fight to get my $180 back.

I.lost out a few years ago when Paypal said I had to pay for return shipping to Banggood for a defective light….$70 to ship back.Never shipped it back…lost $100 .

The other side of that is Tom E.and some others who live in Eastern USA already have had theirs for at least 4 or 5 days.I would think they paid the $10 shipping and used the same UPS Mail innovations.

Hopefully half the crew got drunk :beer: :beer: :beer: and called in sick…and its just delayed!

I am not sure what your issue is to be honest? You seem far to upset for it just to be a late arrival of the order, I have not been able to read this thread as much as normal, did I miss something, is there something else that is upsetting you?

This is a really straight forward issue, it is normally solved by simply waiting. Worst case you file a claim with UPS and wait a bit longer and then wildtrail gives you the option to resend it or refund you.

There is positively zero need to file a paypal claim, wildtrail will take care of you be that ship another or refund you for this one.

You will not loose your $180, that much I am sure of.

Let me know if I am missing something.

P.S. I have ONLY been talking about filing a claim with UPS, a paypal claim is completely unnecessary at this point. In retrospect I think you might of been misunderstanding me.

1.Yes…you are missing Two things. I asked you twice about Wildtrail.You mentioned in previous message that I should also file a claim with them if I need to if it doesn’t show up. Who is wild Trail besides the flashlight? Is that you?I never got their info from you.

2.If you re-read my post I said I did not use PayPal so I am not filing a claim against PayPal.I used my bank… credit card.

Different countries generally get mail faster or slower.

The USA has special shipping arrangements with China so we generally get faster shipping them most due to that.

Ok, as I thought it was a simple misunderstanding.

I was only talking about a claim with UPS about a lost package. You are the receiver, wildtrail is the sender from aliexpress (aliexpress is the china ebay BTW)

I was saying you could contact wildtrail (send a message to the seller your ordered from on aliexpress) and let them know UPS said the package was lost so they can also file a claim with UPS.

Generally takes a week or 2 for them to get a trace on the package. If it is lost, they will offer you a replacement most likely or a refund if you want that.

Although at this point I would give it a bit longer before worrying about it. My rule of thumb is a month for anything from china before worrying.

I checked my order I have to wait until August 10th, 2021 to file a claim that its lost! Lol.

The claim with aliexpress is completely separate and different. That is a claim about the order, not the package.

Aliexpress is just the china ebay. You can talk to the individual seller and are encouraged to in cases like this.

There are only a handful of times out of the ~10,000+ purchases online over the years that I was not able to work something out directly with the seller without involving any kind of claims or governing bodies.

@ Cochise334ever, just to give you a little peace of mind- I am from CT, a couple,hundred miles from NJ, and my light has had no update whatsoever since june 7, I have no idea when mine is due. and on top of that my light shipped 5/31 which I felt like was a week after most everyone else. Aggravating - yes! A little, but not really

But, no reason to panick, I mean I'm not trying to say you are, but I feel like when you contacted the usps is where things got tense here. I feel like the UPS most definitely jumped the gun telling you the package was lost and blaming the usps.

all of that to say, I know it's aggravating when there is an eta ship date, but It doesn't surprise too much when these flashlight orders from China start going passed that eta date.

I think if you and I both wait another week or so, we will have good news and hear about our order coming in. I know I praised wildtrail and TA in this thread a lot , but I'm being honest. I am pretty certain your and my packages aren't lost, just delayed, I had this exact situation happen with a recent FireFlies release, took 6 weeks to ship to me, I was probably one of the last people to receive the new light.

Oh, and just for general information- wildtrail is the manufacturer just like astrolux or FireFlies. The model of the light is the wt90, and TA just helped design it with the design team and employees that work for wild trail.

I finally took your advice for the factory reset….Not sure if it fixed it, but looking good so far. The 10 click issue was once again difficult, but finally got it back into advanced UI. Hopefully, my issue with this light is gone, but only time will tell. Thank you for the suggestion, even if the issue returns.

Got my light. It’s amazing. Everything’s perfect, beam pattern is perfect. Battery carrier and charger works perfectly. Hydraulic-feel when you take or put in the battery cage into the tube. Good milling on the handle for grip. For $175$ + tax shipped this is absolutely amazing and blows everything else on the market out of the water. If this was made in the USA or made by a name brand would easily be $250 and probably not as good.

Thank you our Chinese overlords for actually able to factory-produce gadgets and knives worth shit and doesn’t cost an arm and an leg and thank you TA for designing the light.

Funny how some ppl’s still whining about paying $10 for shipping and expect it to be DHL express-lvl service. No it’s just to cover their usual shipping costs. $150 base price for the light is so dirty cheap they probably don’t make much margins at all. FYI I paid $24 for shipping + 13$ tax.
