Did I receive a fake TR-3T6?

I ordered three lights from Aliexpress because they had a really good deal on them. I inspected all of them and they seem to be fake.

They are all missing the trustfire sticker on the reflector that my TR-3T6 from DX has. They are also noticeably less bright.

The number of heatsink fins are the same (7) and the logos are all printed the same. So I am confused as to whether or not they are fake?

Visibly dimmer output would be the main concern... IMHO.

can you take a tailcap current measurement? Is it close to the DX light?

It is somewhat close but it's still easy to tell. I need to get a DMM this weekend and test them.

You should also visually inspect the emitter to make sure they are what you ordered. Use a magnifying lens if needed to verify them.

Make sure the DMM has some hefty leads and not skinny 18+ gauge or make some extra leads . . . my son and I have the same make & model DMM about a year apart, but his came with 18 and mine has 14. Quite a difference in amperage measurements.

I have one of each, the older 5 mode is alittle bighter and draws a bit more at the tail cap. Probably the driver.

It is 5-mode.
