Has anyone else experienced the issue illustrated in the photo? The ridge on the head strap / head light holder does not touch the grooves on the body.
No but an older one is getting looser. Thinking about adding a blob of Goop to it. Put a little WD 40 on the tube. Snap it back in place and bed the ridges into the E6800 or E6000. Let it harden over night . Break the bond , the oil should prevent the goop from bonding well to the groves. This should mold the goop to the tube and take up the gap. An alternative method could be to add the blob, let it semi harden. Cover it with a small piece of plastic wrap and snap the light back into the holder and let it finish hardening overnight.
I would have preferred it to be 4000K. But, the 5000K 90 CRI is pretty good. The beam is quite useable for the uses I have for it.
Trying the body with the holder of a D10 that I have it seems the D25 body is not fat enough as the ridges and grooves do not contact on the D10 but the D10 body engages on the D25 holder. The friction fit between the D25 body and the holder clips is almost satisfactory.
I have sent Sofirn that image and a question of what their solution may be.
Yeah I was very happy to find out they sold it on sofirnlight.com (not on AliExpress). It’s a great cheap, small headlamp which produces very nice colors and can produce a lot of light too if necessary! I hope they’ll ever release the D25R (LH351D + red light), and maybe add type c charging while they are at it :innocent: , that’s pretty my end-game headlamp I think (maybe even Anduril too for the voltage-checking function)
Absolutely! Give it a better driver with Anduril 2, USB Type-C charging, and maybe a copper MCPCB and it will be perfect. It probably wouldn’t be $13.99 any more though.
I would be happy with Anduril on a variant of the existing (presumably mediocre) driver. Shortcuts to low and high, and the battery check are the functions I miss the most.
I have not tried it because I prefer the LH351D LED’s And I think you are looking at a wrong listing because I see it ships from China on both their AliExpress store & sofirnlight.com
Sorry, I meant ask about the D25L but I got the models confused. I also prefer LH351Ds and the MCPCB on my D25 (non-S) is glued so I would be happy to avoid doing the emitter swap myself.
I’ll ask Sofirn whether they can list the D25L on AliExpress for non-US customers.
