I don’t have any airguns. Many decades ago I had a Daisy. Now only the Anschutz and a customized 10/22 as well as 1 flintlock and 2 caplock black powder long guns.
Rossi Dione. No matter the caliber or model, the Dione is a real hole puncher even when you shoot freehanded. Won’t get any prizes for power, it pales compared to any “magnum” air rifle, but you don’t get a break-barrel for power, do you?
I had a Red Ryder too…when I was a young kid, I shot the neighbour right on her bum when she got out of her car wearing tight jeans from my bedroom window. She jumped around and carried on a treat. Funny but stupid, I was about 10y/o.
So far, my Benjamin Armada.
My state limits me to .177cal though.
I have been playing with “slugs” instead of pellets. It hits hard for 177, I give it that.
Trying to get better consistency out of it at 100yds. 50yds its on, 75 is not bad, but at 100 it opens up a lot.
It has the reach no problem, just not the accuracy.
Got more different slugs to test when I get time.
Hand pumping one of these is a serious cardio event. Not to mention you need to weigh a fair amount to push the pump down towards the end. My wife could practically do a handstand on it w/o it moving.
I have an Annie 2013 in a bench rest stock with a Lilja tube. Lots of fun.
It even likes some of the cheaper Eley - Well most of the time. It’s so frelling windy here, it’s hard to test.
One of these years I’m going to take it to Winters TX and find the magic lot.
All the Best,
Jeff
Webley Hurricane .177 is the only air pistol or rifle I’ve ever had.
I’ll have to actually check to see if it still works okay, as I’ve not even looked at it for several years. Where I’m living, it might scare off the crows, but the raccoons, coyotes, and bears would just get mad at me.
Thank God you were a lousy aim! Eyeballs are very fragile, less fixable, and much more important than gluteals. She might have gone the rest of her life doing the .
