DEFINITELY rosy. They are Much Warmer than the 5d (both new and old), and about as warm as the sst20 2700k id say (I only have 1 single emitter 14500 light with the sst20 2700k to compare it to). But when comparing to my 5d new and old (rosy and more yellow), they are rosy. I tried to take a picture of the 3 this morning, but even with a downloaded camera app to eliminate auto correcting color temps, it still was not clear how the 8a compares. But I will say that when lightenzaza told me they were rosy and like the old 5d, they were correct. It was a solid recommendation, I'm very happy with them

Has anyone tried, or would anyone try the a mix of (2) xpl-hi 2850k and (2) xpl-hi 4000k? Like in a d4, d4s, or kr4?just curious if it's a terrible idea or not. I have a d4 with (2) 2700k sst20 and (2) 4000k sst20 and it's really nice, got the idea from all of you. But I only wonder bc the with xpl-hi 2 would be 80 cri and 2 would be 70 cri, I don't know if that look bad or fine? Any thoughts?

Anyone know a good place to buy the square Carclo optics for the DT8? I want to try the 10610 with my 2000k E21A DT8 but couldn’t find a place that sells them after some searching. They seem to have 4 types of optics that would work: Search by part number | Carclo Optics

Just ordered my second DT8… Had to try that 4000k xpl- hi.

Do remember that it’s more yellow than a few months ago. I have a K9.3 with the previous batch of 4000k and it isn’t quite as yellow.

That said, the current XP-L Hi 4000k is still pretty great, and I do love the DT8 I have with them.

I know, I know.. I went back and forth with all of my multi emitter sst20 4 & 5K and xpl-hi 4K and 5K light this morning to determine which emitter I wanted next. I know I want "brighter" than the 2800k. I landed on 4000k knowing it is still yellow atm, but i started writing an email to Hank asking him if he will do 4x 2800k and 4x 4000k xpl-hi. But I haven't sent it. I'm honestly torn if I want a (approx 3400k) version, or just 4000k.

But I am wondering if the deep warmth of the 2800k would mix nice with the 4000k and give a good tint. The 5D looks like a 5000k emitter next to the 2800k 8A LOL.
