Which movie did you watch lastֻ

Hahaha…. what?

Pic came out, or no? Weird things from goggle lately, looks fine to me, but…

Starring Sråbøl Pflüger and Wølff Sørensen,
this gritty Danish/German crime drama
follows two detectives who are
investigating a series of murders
in the sleepy hamlet of Ærøskøbing…

“The Jane Austen Book Club” 2007

Yes, but there are no search results for “Schknørglün”. That’s why I thought it was a joke.

Nope, at least not for me anyway.

The World To Come (2020) - this is a gorgeous period piece set in the 1850’s, in upstate New York, about two married women who develop a friendship that blossoms into something deeper. Shot in 16mm in Romania. Excellent directing, writing, and acting, as well as stunning cinematography, pack a powerful emotional wallop. Casey Affleck was a producer, and has a large acting role in the movie as the main character’s decent, but dispirited husband.

No Man’s Land (1987)

Didn’t work for me either. Tried goggle, got something hilarious tho…

Samurai Cop

Secrets of a Marine’s Wife (2021)

Can you not see (hideously crappy) pix from

or do they (still) show?

Same format links from goggle-photos, wondering if it’s something new vs old.

Sorry, I don't see any pics in the OP of that thread.

Hmm, you know goggle photos recently got rid of the unlimited storage option for everyone except Pixel users . I wonder if that has something to do with it

Edit: If you’re nutty enough, some people are buying an old Pixel and copying stuff to it

Lady Killers with Tom Hanks.

That looks like one I need on my list for when I go on vacation…
(LadyKillers 2004 )

However…it appears to be a remake of a 1955 version with Alec Guiness…I think I need to put that on my list also

(LadyKillers 1955 )

Got that email, yeh. Wouldn’t surprise me.

But back when, people were seeing those horrible crappy pix. I still can. :confounded:

Odd that it was “turned off” for everyone else.

.
Best movie ever made :smiling_imp:
Watched it several times.

Good on Paper (2021)

After years of putting her career first, a stand-up comic meets a guy who seems perfect: smart, nice, successful and possibly too good to be true.

Going on 50 years old and just as relevant as the day is was released.

Stanley Kubrick’s—-Dr. Stangelove

A very young Darth Vader, Slim Pickens, George C Scott and Peter Sellars in a movie that will make you think. And laugh. A true classic.

It is a classic - and very innovative for its time. They put a lot of Sellars’ ad libs into the film. They also delayed the release of the film from Dec. 1963 to Jan. 1964, due to the assassination of president Kennedy, and they changed one line of the film. When Slim Pickens is going through the contents of the escape kits, the soundtrack has him saying, “Shoot, a fella’ could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff.” If you look closely at Pickens saying that line, though, you can see him mouth what was in the script, which was “Shoot, a fella’ could have a pretty good weekend in Dallas with all that stuff.”

Kajillionaire (2020) - Evan Rachel Wood and Gina Rodriguez are both brilliant in this quirky, darkly humorous tale about a young woman (Wood, as “Old Dolio”) who works as a grifter and thief with her parents, played by the amazingly-versatile Richard Jenkins and an unrecognizable Debra Winger. When the trio of criminals meets another young woman (Rodriguez) and agree to involve her in their schemes, Old Dolio learns to look at her parents, her life and the world differently. You won’t always know where this movie is going, which is a part of its charm, and the ending is great. Jenkins and Winger are also amazing to watch in two roles that will go unappreciated by many, due to the repellent and bizarre nature of their characters. Seeing this movie made me interested in seeing the other movies by Miranda July, who directed and wrote the screenplay.
