Show us your greenhouse or garden!

We have tons of plants, but none of them produce food.

There are coyotes in our valley, and coyotes will eat just about anything.

If we grew our own food, we would be attracting the coyotes that would try to kill our dog or two cats.

We have at least 50 different plants, and it would be quite a chore to photograph them all.

I might do it someday, but I don't plan to soon.

(Plus my hands always shake, so I have to take several photos to get one or two good ones.)

Never knew that about Coyotes. They are around here but our garden fence keeps them out. Wish I could say the same for all the other critters that get in. They do help keep the rodent population down.

This year I got a really late start so I don’t think all of these will end up having production, but my garden this year consists of:
Tomatoes
Sweet Basil
Thai Basil
Oregano
Thyme
Rosemary
Dill
Lemongrass
Serrano
Thunder Cacho Brown
Pasilla
Tiger Jalapeno
Tabasco
Habanada
Aji Lemon Drop
Zapotec Jalapeno
Guajillo
Death Spiral
Carolina Reaper
Black Panther
Jay’s Red Ghost Scorpion
Moruga Scorpion
Scotch Bonnett
Hatch Ms. Junie
Chinese 5-Color
MA Wartryx
Ancho
Helix Nebula
Primotalii
7-Pot Bubblegum
Yellow Fever
Datil
Umorok Red
Thai

Wow G0OSE you really have the green thumb and a really nice greenhouse. Thanks for sharing a tour of the garden. i never heard of the Naga, will have to look it up.

What is the approximate area of your greenhouse and does it get really hot during the summer? How does it do in the rain?

very nice gardens on here. thanks for sharing.

With a little help from FWAA at 5am !!

I took a few pics but the weather is kinda gloomy

Peas, asparagus (the end so we’ll let them grow now)

Corn, beetroots, red beans, carrots under the net

Zucchinis, more peas, rhubarb, green beans

(Oh shit I didn’t see there was already powdery mildew on the zucchini :frowning: )

Tomatoes, pepper bells, eggplants, peppers, cucumbers

The first tomatoes are coming at last, we had a pretty bad spring this year and everything is late.

this weird plant also likes the greenhouse

Radish, lettuce, more carrots will go there once they’re gone, more tomatoes, on the background, strawberries, raspberries, red current back current.

Potatoes

Melons

(older pics with sun) Onions, artichokes, strawberries, butternuts (not very visible)

Some more currents and raspberries, pears, cherries, plums, peaches.

There’s more but I think that was long enough.

3 Thanks

Love your farm

@G0OSE:

This is bugging me a little because I might have some OCD.

In the title of this thread, you have the word "greehouse."

:+1:

:+1: changed.

Nice!

Usually typos aren't that big of a deal, but when it's the title of the thread, it gets to me.

Thanks :+1: it’s my first year of doing it. The greenhouse is 3m x 2m and is a kinda temporary one/cheap polytunnel thing. It cost me just £30 boxed and new off gumtree, but is worth around £170
It’s pretty strong and the cover should last a couple of years at least, since I had a cheaper version last 2 years and this one is reinforced.
It does get very hot, but you can open both ends with zipped doors and it has 2 windows on each side you can roll up which are covered with white screening to keep out bugs.

Now that IS a garden to be proud of :+1: I’m not sure I have the time, or for that matter the interest to do anything so big…. in a few years time maybe.
Lovely to see you grow so much food for yourself, must be very satisfying. I also had a bit of mildew on my courgettes, but they were in the in the greenhouse then - I have 2 and they were taking up all the space so they are now both outside.

The other gardens above are great too - thank you all for taking the time to share with us, and hope you will update when you get some big crops - I seriously can’t wait for my chilli’s to arrive!

Speaking of green thumbs, I do not have one.

I don't water my plants, so my sister does it for me.

I don't have nearly as many plants as my sister does, but she's happy to help me.

I help her out with other things, so I'm not a total jerk.

Do you eat avacado’s RC? You could do that indoors and it’s quite easy, I also have Pineapple top rooting in some water…. once you get the bug you literally save the seeds from everything lol!
The avacado, well you just carefully cut around the stone inside, trying not to cut through the ‘skin’ of the stone. Wipe it clean in some kitchen paper and put 3 cocktail sticks in it about 1/2 way up, then rest it on a cup or something so it’s about 1/3 covered in water, change the water every few days - in about 3-4 weeks it’ll put a root out, then a stem, they look really nice! this isn’t mine btw, but it’s basically the same. Don’t expect avocado’s any time soon though, it’s more for looks than crops lol!

I planted carrots in pots with really loose soil wondering if I’d get anything. Cocktail carrots! hopefully as i thin I’ll get some bigger ones. So much fun!

Awesome garden, really nice photos!
The gloomy weather is the natural softbox, for photos I like it.
Do you work that garden all by yourself?

Thanks,
This is my parent’s garden, I used to work a lot in it, but now that my handicap has worsened I can’t do any gardening anymore. I still do most of the indoor seedlings.

Sorry to hear that, I also have reduced and almost stopped doing garden work due to spinal issues.
