my friends make fun of me because i find Friends unfunny.
and Seinfeld, to me, is sort of stupid. usually, i like stupid;
especially Reality stupid, but only in small doses.
Been re-watching Monk and also Daredevil (the Netflix series)
However, a couple friends mentioned The Irregulars . A bit of a different take on some of the characters from the Sherlock Holmes universe, but so far I’m enjoying it (only seen two episodes). Apparently Netflix originally greenlit a second season then changed their mind though.
well, we watched Season 1 Episode 1 of Breaking Bad.
it reminded us of all those “Revenge of the Dad” type movies:
Taken, Nobody; you have probably seen more of those than us.
we will watch a few more…but it better get A LOT better.
Breaking Bad had a few slower first season episodes, the writers took a bit effort to develop characters so they could “break bad” during time.
It is one of the best TV shows ever made if you like crime/drama in a TV show format.
During this Tokyo Olympics, there are many live telecast on TV of many sports each day. I like watching swimming, because it is not too long. Boxing is also good, with a lot of fast actions.
But rugby, football/soccer, and basketball are too long and boring. I don’t see the point of using professional players in these team sports to compete with other national teams that field mostly amateurs.
Good to see the inclusion of skate-boarding and moutain-biking into the Tokyo Olympics. These are contemporary games that many of the new generations do and enjoy.
BTW, I wonder how many people do hammer-throwing or discus-throwing for fun nowadays.
Fringe was more of an X-files-ish thing where they had a weird thing of the week deal while they sorta advanced the main story line periodically.
I swear they made crap up as they went, kinda like Lost, but it turned out somewhat better, not great, but better than that disappointing piece of…you get my drift.
Counterpart pretty much is all about the main storyline, but has lots of intrigue, characters, backstory, and history to tell. (oops, thats redundant, oh well)
I enjoyed it quite a bit.
People you think are good/evil may or may not be, etc… and the first J.K. Simmons you meet is just stuck in the middle of it (hopefully that’s not a spoiler :p)
