Do you prefer showers or baths?

When I built my house, I bought a stock house plan. It called for a tub in the master bath. Instead I bought a fiberglass base and surround the size of a traditional tub. Low threshold and roomy. Love it. The tub in the full bath gets used to bath the grandchildren or my wife’s plants.

Wish my house has an awesome view like this.

We have a pretty good view, but we don't have a bunch of large windows or glass doors like in that photo.

We usually go outside to enjoy the view the best.

Dang—-How did you get a picture of my Bathroom

Showers for speed and daily use.
Bath on rare occasions and time to spare.

That sure is tranquil. You don’t need curtains.

I will bet that I have not had a bath since grade school! In fact, I remember it… I was about 8 and covered in oil based paint from “helping” dad paint a shed while I also painted the dog. Guess who was in the tub with me. I am now almost 56, so 48 years ago? I do love a good shower, cool in the summer and hot in the winter.

That is a heck of a view you have there in “Swampland, LA” Mr. Chops. :exclamation: :+1: :sunglasses:

Can’t remember the last time I had a bath, probably as a child. None of my apartments had a bathtub, neither had any of my gf’s places.
gym only has showers (would be weird if they had a bathtub, lol).

that bathroom linked above is out of this world, does anyone on here have anything like that?

That bath is all show and no go. Quite uncomfortable as there are no armrests nor an inclined shoulder rest. There are other stand-alones that do have the ergonomics for actually relaxing and also have provision for the accoutrements - soaps / wash gels bath foams / back-brush / etc. They have a built-in outer shelf about the corners and some have all the plumbing hidden within the back wall of the tub.

Then there are the corner units with a podium style. Unfortunately, a secondary showering unit has to be installed also. I had once re-configured a stylish curtain rod and extended the handheld “douche” line to hook onto the rod. And then again I mostly did remove the styled bath from some master bedrooms and replaced it with a ceramic / glassed shower - much more in line with modern-day living.

The view is something though!

I like baths but I’m too tall for most tubs. If I’m in a hotel for some reason and the tub is large enough I will usually take at least one just to enjoy it. I normally just shower.

My pool does have an attached jacuzzi type spa tho

I have that screen projector setup like in Soylent Green — you know the one they put you in front of before you Die

I think baths are for girls.

Giving me a bath. :open_mouth: :+1:

“Do you prefer showers or baths?”

depends on the situation.

1. normal, everyday life: showers.
2. medical necessity: bath (sometimes something should be shielded).
3. outdoors: bathing in the river/lake/etc. with compatible friends.

This is sorta true at our place.

Only my sister and niece have a bathtub, and they won't let me use it!

“…they won’t let me use it…”
first clue.

Hmmm, that is interesting. I have a “Coon Arse” buddy down in the LA Bayous & that sounds like something he would do. :white_check_mark:
Either way… nice going my friend.

I learned a new term today!

(A "Coon Arse" is a person of Cajun ethnicity.)

Yep… the term is actually “Coon Ass”… but I made a thinly veiled attempt to clean it up.

It is also a term of respect & endearment. :white_check_mark:

A “Coon Arse” is a person of Cajun ethnicity _ What cha_ll are —— Around certain towns —especially where my parents were from — English sounds like a foreign language when they Talk it (speak it ) —- When my parents went to school they were punished for speaking Cajun French in school ( girls with school work /boys were whipped sometimes) The crazy part is their parents only new a few English words — My mother’s mom only new a few English words and was born in South La. — Crazy Huh
