Just ordered my second DT8… Had to try that 4000k xpl- hi.
Do remember that it’s more yellow than a few months ago. I have a K9.3 with the previous batch of 4000k and it isn’t quite as yellow.
That said, the current XP-L Hi 4000k is still pretty great, and I do love the DT8 I have with them.
I know, I know.. I went back and forth with all of my multi emitter sst20 4 & 5K and xpl-hi 4K and 5K light this morning to determine which emitter I wanted next. I know I want "brighter" than the 2800k. I landed on 4000k knowing it is still yellow atm, but i started writing an email to Hank asking him if he will do 4x 2800k and 4x 4000k xpl-hi. But I haven't sent it. I'm honestly torn if I want a (approx 3400k) version, or just 4000k.
then I started considering a mix of 4000k & 5000k xpl-hi.
I am so confused lol.
But I am wondering if the deep warmth of the 2800k would mix nice with the 4000k and give a good tint. The 5D looks like a 5000k emitter next to the 2800k 8A LOL.
It’s amazing that the DT8 thread is longer than the D4 and D4v2 threads.
I should probably order a DT8 so I can experience the power! 
Yea, you need to. anyone who loves a D4, is doing a TRUE DISERVICE to themselves if they haven't ordered a dt8 yet. Im considering selling all of my aluminum d4's to buy dt8's. Lol
I wonder if they'll ever be a KRT8?
Would be better if they offer their KR4 lights with variable color temperature

Would it be possible for Emisar to produce a pocket clip for the D4Sv2 ??
Im thinking just a larger version of the existing design for the Emisar D4v2, that will fit on the D4S.
(Maybe if it sat a little deeper in the pocket, that would be nice).
I know there are people on multiple forums who modify other companies pocket clips to fit this light, and i recently did and it works out only OK..

Guys does anyone know how much amps KR1 XPL-HI draw on high and on turbo?
I just got KR1 2800K xpl-hi but with freshly charged VTC6 turbo does not bump as my FW1A does...
I think the FET is disabled so it should be 5A, in the FW1A in direct drive it might pull a litle bit more, plus the 2800K 80CRI(?) has a lower flux.

I am temped, believe me. But those are just two LED choices I wouldn’t choose. 1A is way too cool for me, and I already have a warm D4S. It would have to be E21 for me to get another warm one
