Convoy designed me (us) a hunting flashlight (L21B)

Oh and btw, I don’t just resell as is, I install dual springs, align LED, tighten screws and retaining rings, and clean all contacts

Ah, thanks for the explanation, forgot that its NZ$ which is obvious different than US$.
No need to excuse, i understand that its part of your business and you have to make a living.

Was just hoping that BLF enthusiasts can buy it from Simon, since most of us are familiar with Convoy and modding.

Just flick Simon a message and ask for it  he has them ready, but just with the focus issue.

First look at the performance using the Osram CSLNM1 Red

Would you be able to do a store demo of L21B STF40 VS Osram?

I don’t have the SFT40 to be able. I might get one, but unsure as most love a gun light to be a very narrow beam like the Osram cslnm1 and culpm1.

My customers are mainly those needing 600+ meters for deer

I definitely understand. we wouldn’t want the spill from the light to disable, distance vision. Poaching must be minimal out there. Most state’s here, if you have a rifle and a good light at night, Someone will investigate you.

oh boy
I have the C8 (which i use for hunting, with the remote tail cap), and also the L21A.

This L21B sounds perfect as an upgrade to the C8. Can you confirm if it fits the weapon mount “Olight X-WM03” ?

I am curious Funtastic, can you guys “legally” hunt deer at night in New Zeland??

It’s 26mm so it’ll fit even if it can’t clamp in all the way.

This needs some major adjustments though for the Osram LEDs, but okay for the Luminus SFT40.

The focus is way out and the reflector needs lifting up. I’ve been modding these for my store and they’ve been selling like crazy. I made $1500 in two days, that’s usually 1 month of sales right there.

You can’t use the 8A Convoy driver since it doesn’t have a positive spring so you’ll dent in the batteries from the recoil and possibly damage the driver over time. Okay as a handheld though.

Pressure switches are in production.

Check out my YouTube videos of the Osram culpm1, cslnm1, and green, red

If you have a bit of modding experience you can turn this into the best budget gun light available

I don’t personally, but yes, very much so

Good info, thank you. :white_check_mark:

I have been using a C8F with my AR for raccoons and short range coyotes. For my longer range stuff, bolt guns and magnified optics I use an XHP-50.2 that I built that is well focused and driven pretty hard off of 2 26350 cells. Something like this new L21 might be and interesting replacement for that kind of work. Last time I checked, we can’t use real night vision in IL also no suppressors, so the big 6mm-284 does not get used often at night and I can only light out to about 400 yards and still use my 8x32x optics. Plus the darn thing goes so fast that I am not sure what a suppressor would really do for it.

Does this L21A and L21B reflector is physically same and cam be interchangeable on these 2?

Same diameter but not interchangeable. The L21A’s reflector rests on a shelf, the L21B pushes down against the mcpcb

Just read this topic, in fact I’ve just received this new light the other day, and I would like to improve the beam on it, because now it’s got like two donuts , I would prefer only one ,more concentrated , do you think this idea would be feasible with the gasket included ? I mean raising the reflector ? Thanks

Which led version do you have? The factory messed up the focus which is why the focus hasn’t been very good. I got the correct size gasket made for the Osram chips, it’s only the SFT40 that needs adjusting, but I’m personally quite happy with it since the large corona helps out hunting to track an animal, if it runs after the first shot. It still could be worth correcting though

I’ve bought the new version of sft40.
If you tell me there are improvements possible , that’s still good news.

Is there anyway to identify the difference between the gaskets used on sft and osram ?

SFT40 is square and the Osram’s are circular. Also the Osram CULPM1 has only a 4040 footprint, whereas the SFT is 5050
