【Wurkkos News】New arrival Wurkkos TD01 1000 meters long throw 21700 Tactical Light

Just received the light. My first dive light and it is actually really nice as a regular light. Thank you Wurkkos for the awesome light!

Thanks for the code! Just ordered one. Can’t go wrong with a completely waterproof dual 26650 light. Will keep it handy by the front door.

Alright… here’s my quick take for anyone that was interested in the light.

WOW. Just wow. This light is a quad emmiter XHP50.2 light and boy, do those LEDs push out an incredible amount of light. The Wurkkos DL70 is designed as a diving light (IPX8 water resistance - The equipment is suitable for continual submersion in water under conditions which are identified by the manufacturer - 100m per the manual), so there are come cool features about this light that aren’t available with other lights. Without further ado, a flash light review!

Item as shipped~
What you’ll get from Amazon is a nice cardboard box which holds;

  1. the DL70 flashlight
    1. 2X button top 26650 batteries, Wurkkos brand (an expense in themselves if not included)
    1. a li-ion battery charger (a 2 channel charger with 1A per channel and included microusb cable that’ll charge batteries from 16340s to 36650s)
    1. a lanyard for the light
    1. spare Orings as it’s a diving light and 6) an instruction manual

Initial Impressions~
When handling the light the first thing you’ll notice is the heft, like a loaded 3D cell maglight heft in an empty 2C sized package. As you unscrew the rear to load up those 26650s, you’ll immediately notice that the light unscrews easily, as the anondized threading has been lubed from the factory. As you continue removing the tail cap, you’ll then notice that double O-rings on the body of the light (since you know, diving lights should be water proof).

Loading up the light was a simple enough affair, pop the batteries in positive end up (the nubs go towards the head of the light) and screw down the tail cap and you’re good to go.

The switch on this light is a side switch located at the base of the head, apparently it’s magnetic (no there are electronic goodies ever exposed to water) which is kind of neat. It’s a metal alloy type switch without a rubber boot which happens to be a reverse clickie for those that care. There is no tactile or audible click due to it’s magnetic nature. Once you press down and then release the switch you’ll be treated to a literal blinding amount of light ( enough light to put out HEAT from over a foot away on high, so be careful.

The UI is fairly simple with memory; press for next mode (4 modes 450lm/1300lm/4000lm/13000lm), the light starts off on turbo and then to low, mid, high and finally back to turbo. You will have to press and long hold to turn the light off. The light will remember the last mode you had it on, when turning back on.

Above surface use. Just wow, this thing is incredibly bright and has no problems satisfying those who are constantly in search of “an incredible wall of light”, cause that’s what the Wurkkos produces. What else does it produce? Heat. Within 30 seconds or so, you can actually feel the heat generated by the LEDs through the body of the light (a good thing if you don’t want your electronic bits inside the light to cook). The light also has thermal throttling, so that the light itself adjusts brightness so that the flashlight doesn’t cook itself, or your hands (55C thermal throttling, they cal it ATR - advanced thermal regulation).

Obviously below the surface of water, you’ll have active liquid cooling

Beam profile, due to the quad LED setup, you’ll get a nice hotspot in the center with 4 “flower petals” of solid side spill. This light strikes a fairly nice balance between throw and flood. The quad emitters are great for floody lights, but the sheer brute amount of light this thing pushes out helps it project well farther than you would. If you walk down a dark alleyway and need to light it all up, one push of a button and it’s done.

TL;DR crowd

The light produces an incredibly bright wall of light and comes ready out of the box with everything you need and signifies a great value if you need something extra bright and waterproof.

If you don’t have an FC11 now is the time. If your mother, son, cousin or neighbor does not have an FC11, now is the time.

Do you have a code for the DL-70 5700k to be purchased from the Wurkkos website?

Good Deal on the FC11. Got a few for gifting.

LOL  it is really a easy light good for parents, son, ,ect, as a gift

OKBZ1776—- 15% OFF

I had been considering the FC11 or the Sofirn equivalent that claims more lumens or one or two of similar form factors elsewhere but have not decided.
30% off is a good deal…

Yes, it is a good deal ,go ahead man

I choose my lights carefully so have not decided yet which one to buy.

Also since your replying to me what is the deal with the hidden $3 shipping?
I talk about it here (which reminds me that i have more impressions to add).

some countries add additional fees, where are you from friend

I am in Canada.
Yet as the image i posted indicates it said free shipping. Right click and view image for larger size.

I just ordered 3x FC11 2700k and a WK02 to bump it over $100.

I like the USB-C charging aspect so I can put an older 18650 and leave it plug in as an always on light in the basement. It’s a great price.
