Multi-frequency light is inescapably plebian, monochromatism is the true patrician choice

Very, give me the 219B in sw35,sw40 or sw45k. Next some of the SST20’s in 4000k and xm-l2 and xp-l hi in 5a2. A few of the LH351D 3500-4000k are not bad and the new fc40 is really nice.

5D2 is the ultimate tint.
I say this becasue i have one for sale
tint is in the eye of the beholder.
Except the point is that “white” is not subjective. Illuminant E is the perfect white.

…
For me the sweet spot usually is 4D, 4A, 3D, 3A… below the BBL.
Of course that may vary either way (cooler or warmer) for some emitters.
I DETEST (HATE) warm, & super warm tints. Hideous Blue cool tints too.
For a “dedicated” thrower… cooler is better as long as it IS NOT Hideous Blue.

I seek 6500k and above and specifically love a bluish green tinge sometimes with some purple. No… my favourite is tint would be from my 3k xhp70.2 convoy m21c-u.
I prefer fairly warm white, but any warm white will do.

Had to do a Google / Wikipedia search to find out what is “Illuminant E”…
Illuminant E is an equal-energy radiator; it has a constant SPD inside the visible spectrum. It is useful as a theoretical reference; an illuminant that gives equal weight to all wavelengths. It also has equal CIE XYZ tristimulus values, thus its chromaticity coordinates are (x,y)=(1/3,1/3). This is by design; the XYZ color matching functions are normalized such that their integrals over the visible spectrum are the same.
Illuminant E is not a black body, so it does not have a color temperature,...
Looks like it’s supposed to be approximated closely to somewhere around 5455k color temperature, based on the above link, but has no actual color temperature…
